Dear Cythiats (Babycakes),

I know that this may seem odd but there was no way I wouldn’t give you one last final recognition. You did it! You have graduated from Walla Walla University, with a degree in Health Science. The pictures with this post are just some of the few moments that occurred throughout the journey of your college that I was involved in. You can see that there are many memories and friends with each picture. You have been an amazing friend, best friend, and girlfriend throughout these years. I know that everyone else can say that you have left a mark on their lives forever, especially your kids in Majuro. You have inspired me, and I have witnessed a drive like I have never seen in anyone else. Despite the many curveballs and tragedies that happened throughout your college career you came on top and did it. I know it wasn’t an easy and straight road to your success. Like those long skype calls where I helped with physics until the very end where we would go talk to Dr. Brannaka to set up a game plan so that you can finish. Every year and every step you have taken has been difficult and I know I might sound like a broken record, but it’s because you went through a lot, and I cannot place enough emphasis on how you overcame one after the other. I know you had moments where you wanted to give up or take a path you didn’t really want to take, like in your basement apartment and those therapy sessions I had with you to pursue your dream of PA. It was hard, I will admit for both of us because cheese and rice that bed would knock us out in like 5 minutes. It was an upgrade from sleeping on the floor though. You can also see from the pictures one of the major setbacks you had which was the famous concussion. Not being able to have your smart and awesome brain work at its full potential was hard for you, and I could see the frustration you had and just tried to help you get through. Let us not forget the number of times your bed ended up getting rolled over haha. There were many fears you had coming back to college like thinking you’re too old to hang with my friends, but became real good friends with them like Inez, Joy, and later on Ashley (aka Heather). It was hard but you did it. Now I will say something more personal on my end, but as you probably already know Lalo and Ashley are engaged. Seeing that and helping Lalo set up his surprise proposal was hitting me hard, because at the beginning of our relationship I had planned to marry you after I graduate, which would have been this year. Then go on to Majuro together and Arno and so on. It was hard to remember those plans because of how completely different the way things turned out to be, except for two things

The first thing that remained the same, is that you are happy and excited to take on this new chapter in life. The second is the way I feel about you. I have come to accept that this is our final words of the chapter of our story. It is a bittersweet realization because the story ends, but you’re starting a new story in which you will be happy and successful. This story was full of moments where you grew to become one of the strongest and fierce women I know. That growing you did I know will be the thing that will make this new story better. I truly believe you no longer will have as many curveballs you have had in the past years, I know happiness will fill your life much more, I know you will do great things, I know you will continue to motivate and inspire those around you, I know you will continue to be the badass that you are, I know you will have that caring and loving hear you have and use it to make other people’s lives better, I know you will accomplish any goal you set your mind to, and I know you will be just fine. Cynthia, I knew I loved you since the moment we got on that plane, through the turbulences we had, in Majuro seeing the influence of your heart in your kids, and I know I will love you forever. Perhaps in another life things would be different, and we would’ve gone to Arno and make the ocean and beach jealous of how we kissed and there wouldn’t be a “what if” but that is part of life. “It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.” You keep doing great and keep pushing for more and never settle for anything less than what you are worth like I have said many times. You have had enough of pain in life so go and be happy. You’ll always be in my heart. Take care and again congratulations to the power of infinity.

Everyday with her is a blessing, being able to see her unique beauty and hear that adorable laugh of hers, cannot be compared to anything else. I love this girl so much from her indescribable beauty to her one of a kind personality that makes me the happiest and luckiest guy ever. I love her

My most favorite plane ticket I have ever bought. The whole trip was just another adventure with her. Spending those 18 days together were the best days and nights of my life. All the laughter and games we played. All the shows we watched. It was by far my favorite trip, because of her. Because of the girl I love the most. Everyday I wish I could go back to December 18 and spend those days with her all over again. I miss her like crazy. But I know it wont let it be to long before we can see each other again. I will ever it takes to see her again. I love you and I miss you so much. neverknowngray
