Warning: Suggestive and Partially nude figure!
Fan art for the Night at the Museum fanfic: “I’d Feed You Figs Under the Olive Trees”
Please go read it!
This was my rendition of the Author’s description of Octavius, I tried adding curls to his hair more like the historical busts of him too.

New actor, New museum
Breaking news Night at the Museum fans, Disney is in talks about making a live action Night at the Museum movie however it’s going to be led by a new actor and take place in a new museum, the movie is still being talked about so we don’t know if its a reboot or it takes place in the live action Night at the Museum universe.

I forget that most people ship things because they want characters to be in a happy relationship and not because they want them to have weird sex things with atrocious psychological consequences

oh, those consistently inconsistent Romans ✨
what time period is the roman diorama supposed to be in.
“that’s easy. octavius is octavian/caesar augustus, so probably during his time...” ok, natm might not have cared as much about casting someone that looks like caesar augustus, and i’m not gonna knock them for that bc octavius looks gorgeous as isWHOSAIDTHAT. but after looking him up, octavian seemed to be a relatively bleh general- he seemed to be more notable as a ruler than as a fighter (which seems oppositional to how octavius seems comfortably in his element and even enthused by fighting/action). to me it’s not a definitive fault since we know the natm selves are exhibits and generally play their roles kinda like how modern folks perceive them.
the diorama has the colosseum among its buildings. this was being constructed under emperor vespasian, WAY AFTER caesar augustus was emperor. take this w/many grains of salt but i could’ve sworn i saw a post abt how the roman soldiers were pretty accurate to the flavian dynasty, which would prob match up w/the presence of the colosseum. where’s vespasian. or titus.
natm4 makes this even more hysterically mismatched by having octavius say he was 13 when he “helped rome claim victory in the battle of carthage”. i don’t know enough abt roman history to know which historical figure this is referencing (if it is a reference to anyone in particular), but we’re now WAY BEFORE caesar augustus was born. am i even looking at the right events??? huh???
anyways, not to knock anyone who sees octavius as octavian, i just think it’s super funny how all-over-the-place the romans are in terms of historical periods- unless im wrong on anything i say here (i googled a lot of this stuff and by no means am an expert on ancient rome)
