Art ask #21 please :]

short answer, no. I don't think there is bad art.

but I would argue there are bad artists. like, if you churn out bland, monotone stuff for money, you're not doing anybody any good. they could be absolutely beautiful, photo realistic pictures of kittens that would bring a lot of people joy (so I wouldn't classify it as bad art, cause you can't really blame the art, any more than you can blame a MacDonalds hamburger for being low quality food) but not very inspiring or thoughtful (and then we could obviously start arguing about where to draw the line between arts and crafts...😝).

If you create something, for the sake of creating it, then that's good art. You might be the only person who "gets it" but if you don't get caught up in your head with trying to be something other than just crating art (obviously there can be great meaning in your creations but the idea of the art should put the art first and not try to shoehorn the art into the concept) then I think you can't make bad art.

To be honest, my absolutely favourite piece of art that I have made is... ahm... very personal. 😝 But apart from all that stuff I think this one:

It's not even particularly well done but I like the concept of it a lot. And he liked it so that helps as well 😝

What I like most about practicing my art is that it makes me happy and for example now doing the hand drawing challenge the steady progress that I can see is something that is so nice when everything else feels like it's just fucking stuck. 😅

What I like most about my actual art is that most of the time people can tell what it's supposed to be 😝 Seriously though, I like the range of it. I'm not sure I have a style, per se, but if I want to draw chibis I draw chibis and if I want to draw a portrait I draw a portrait and if I want to draw... ahm... well, you get the idea.
