Honestly, baked sweets and treats really weren’t Mettaton’s thing. They were sticky and always got gummed up in his inner workings. As such, the robotic star couldn’t handle the Spider Donuts that the cute little spiders made. Spider Cider was a different story, though.

If he were completely honest, spiders creeped him out. They were crawly and creepy and he actually didn’t like them too much, but he never liked killing them. A life was a life, after all, and a life was a precious thing.

Every time the star passed by the spider bake-sale on his way from the MTT resort to Waterfall, he always bought a jug of cider. (Where he got all of that G, no onw knew; it was assumed that it was part of his salary or money he’d saved up). But he never really talked to them, until today at least.

“I don’t think I’ve ever really seen you move about, darling. It doesn’t look like you can drum up a lot of business around this area.”

But it was still relaxing enough for him to call home sometimes. He sat on the edge of the exact same riverbank as Goner Kid, eyes shut as he listened to the water rush past him.

Figuring he was in fact just a statue, he didn’t bother speaking to the greyed monster child.
