excuse me miss... would you be willing to keep mechanical maids in your manor, rather than the usual porcelain sort?

I actually use a variable hybrid type, where the level of specialization depends upon the assigned task. One must stock the right tool for the job.

While I tend to avoid maids with neither, as I have found them to be ill-suited for my purposes, I use a variety of maids at varying levels of both, E.G. Fully porcelain, mostly porcelain with clockwork elements, fully clockwork, etc. I even have one very special porcelain maid with complete internal clockwork. Quite the thing to behold, when it can stay out of the shop for any length of time.

As for if you mean of a more robotic sort, I have sworn off them. I can and do tolerate a great many terrible evils, but the last one that I received was written in Python, and I simply cannot accept that sort of risk.

I had recently sought to teach my maid the guitar, in hopes of better understanding its most peculiar behaviour;— now it has taken to solemnly plucking the strings once at dawn and twice at dusk. I am rather perplexed, and left no more informed than when i started.
