"Those high maintenance plants can be the worse at times." Robbie continued to joke as well. The tension clearly easing from him as well. This was also something that he could do as well. There was no reason for Robbie to bolt at all nor was he going to. Hopefully Taylor didn't bolt or make up some excuse to leave or anything. Yeah, that was one thing he was worried about but for now he would try his best to put it out of his mind. "Not a problem at all. It's the Canadian in me and my mother always did teach me it would be rude so I tried my best to live by that." And he did. Did he faulter sometimes? Yes, yes he did. But he still tried. "I'll have to remember that Espresso tends to do that so if you want we can stay away from that." Robbie moved into the shop after him, a smile resting in his own lips. "My usual in the morning is a regular coffee with two creams and two sugars. But at night is Masala Chai Tea. To me its just relaxing at night. So I'll probably get that. Hopefully that helps a little bit."
"Eh, we're talking a spider plant and an African violet my sister left with me, so they're pretty high maintenance anyway," Taylor joked back, some of the tension easing from his shoulders. This, he could do -- the other man hadn't bolted immediately, after all, so that was as a good sign as any. His eyebrows lifted in surprise, and his smile grew at the gesture. "Thanks for waiting. Half the time I don't even know my coffee order these days, so I usually stick with matcha or green tea. I did get a bit of a taste for espresso in France last year, but that would probably keep me wired half the night," he added with a self-deprecating laugh. Taylor ducked his head in thanks, another surprised smile quirking the corner of his mouth as he stepped into the shop and took a slow breath to inhale the deeply familiar scent of coffee beans. "What's your usual, then? Maybe it'll help me make up my mind."

Yeah that would get expensive since you live here now. Are you worried about the driving test itself? I know it can be a bit overwhelming.
I mean, if I am in the US, I usually walk or if its too far to walk, I get a taxi. So I know what you mean. Can't really do that now I live here.

I appreciate that. And I can imagine, seems like she is very passionate about it. Yeah, Pokémon will always be awesome no matter what age people get. Well work does that so no one can really blame you for not knowing. I'm just willing to start exploring. Do you have any idea? Most places that I know of is by Hope Shores because that is where I live.
No shade, I picked up enough from her impassioned speech to absolutely believe that's true. It's been around long enough that there's definitely something kids connect with, and adults too for that matter. I unfortunately don't even have an excuse -- I got my place here almost a year and a half ago, I've just been sort of all over the place for work. Two of my sisters have already been by en route to Paris last fall, but the rest of them have been waiting for warmer weather, I think. If you've got some place in mind, I'm up for it! Good to meet you, Robbie -- I'm Taylor!

The last thing that Robbie wanted to do was assume things so he wasn't assuming anything besides a friendship. Putting himself out there was something that terrified Robbie, if he was being honest. But he could at least try right? And again if nothing happened, friendship hopefully would. Smiling over at the other man, he shook his hand gently. "Well tell your houseplants that I said you're welcome." He joked lightly. "But I am glad that you did decide to come out tonight." Which was truth. "Shall we? I waited for you before going inside. One I didn't know your coffee order, two it would have been rude just to go inside without you." He was Canadian so being rude wasn't something that he ever would be. It just wasn't something he could do unless it was for a character that he was playing. Moving over to the door, he got it for Taylor.
Taylor was familiar with the Beacon Cove boardwalk from any number of early morning runs he'd planned specifically to explore the town, but it felt completely different being here after dark. He'd committed himself to stepping outside of his comfort zone, and this definitely qualified; sure, he was familiar with some of Robbie's work, but not so familiar that he had any preconceived notions, so that was something. And hopefully, if nothing else, he'd at least get a new friend out of all this -- the entire point of putting himself out there again after over a year of semi-isolation. He couldn't quite help the answering smile as he spotted Robbie outside Portside Coffee, though, and Taylor offered him a handshake with an easy grin. "Nice to officially meet you too. I have to thank you for getting me out of the house -- I've probably been driving my houseplants crazy," he added with a laugh.

Location: Hope Shore
Nervous? Maybe a little bit but Robbie could do this. They were friends hanging out and to him Taylor didn't seem like anyone else that he had knew back out in California. So that was a good thing at least. Leaving his apartment, the walk to the Portside Coffee Shop wasn't that far from his flat. Standing there, he waited for the other man. Coffee first and then taking Taylor over to Glass Odyssey, the only person who had been there was Maura Higgins, he wasn't exactly open for business yet but he agreed to make the glasses for the Forever Ireland Pub. Once he seen the other actor, he smiled over at him. "Hi. Nice to actually meet you in person."

[PRIVATE:] What-ifs are the worst. I'll see you tonight!
[PRIVATE:] What-ifs are the worst, believe me, I get that. Listen, curiosity is one thing, but you had me at coffee. Tonight works great -- I'll see you there!

[PRIVATE:] That is good to know. Nope you don't, and if you don't try you get left with the what ifs in life and those are never fun. Glad that I can piqued your curiosity. Outside of the Portside Coffee? We can get a cup before we head over to my business. Does tonight work?
[PRIVATE:] The best, actually. And I wholeheartedly agree, you never know what will happen if you don't try. I have to admit, my curiosity is well and truly piqued, now -- you're on, name the when and I'll be there!

[PRIVATE:] Hopefully it was a good surprise. Well I've learned sometimes in life you have to just take a shot and see what happens. It's an honest compliment. Of course, if you want I can show you. My business is on the docks in Hope Shores, we can always meet on the boardwalk if you would like.
[PRIVATE:] Well now, we're going to file this under 'things I didn't see coming'. Hi yourself -- I have to admit, I thought it was probably a long shot that you'd actually say hi, but I'm glad you did, since I appreciated the compliment. And you know I'm gonna have to ask about what kind of business you're setting up, right? Purely for curiosity's sake.

That is always the tough part. Deciding on where things go but also makes one realize how much stuff they got. I had to move myself and my son. It would be cool if we did have magic powers and poof everything was done. Nice meeting you, Audrina, I'm Robbie.
I just got here and i still have to decided where everything goes. ugh.. Why doesn't moving have to be so hard. can't we just have magic powers and Poof it's unpacked. I'm Audrina by the way.

Yeah, I always get a driver over in the UK. So I can only imagine that it is basically the same for people coming from the UK to here. Well that is a good to hear that its all worth it.
I don't think I would take it as far as needing lessons. its the just getting used to it. Just like if someone from the US was driving in the UK for the first time. It is all worth it though.

Well if you need some driving lessons, I can help or I'm sure there is a place around here somewhere. It's has to be tough and I'm sorry that you are going through this. But is it worth it?
I don't really need a hand with anything. The unpacking is done and stuff have been put where they need to be. Its just the getting used to the new country part. It is kind of weird. I have lived inthe UK all my life so living in another country is...kind of weird right now. The driving on the oppisite side of the road, stuff like that.

It's nothing that no one can really help me with. I just have to believe that I can overcome it and help myself really. But thank you for the offer.
“ it’s up to you but may I know what’s the problem? Maybe I can help somehow.”

Well if you ever need a hand, I don't mind helping at all. I can't imagine readjusting to a whole new country. How weird is it? If you don't mind me asking. Well that is always good when you get to know people.
I am not fully settled in yet, but getting there. I guess with it being a new country for me is why its taking a bit longer. As for how...I am getting to know more people so that kind of helps.

Saying Goodbye to Hollywood || Self || Closed
Robbie wasn't some A list actor, he knew this but he still managed to catch a break and make it within the Hollywood scene. Hell his last couple of movies had been good successes, Code 8 part 2 and the EXMas that had Leighton Meesters in it and he had another coming up called Racewalkers. He could only hope that would be success as well. But sometimes he missed certain things, certain addictions.
Everything that Robbie had ever done was running through his head. From the shows to the movies that he had been on. To his marriage with Italia Ricci and their down fall. That had been on him. It had been his fault and the fact of what he had gotten into. Drugs. Everybody had always warned him to stay away from them and he had for the longest time. Until Hollywood got into his head.
The first time that he had tried them was when he had been playing on Revenge for those few episodes. Christa B. Allen, she had been the one to start his downfall. The drugs that he actually took on Revenge had been real. But of course no one else knew besides Christa until she told Robbie. So that was his beginning of his own downfall because he couldn't stop.
As time went on, he got into harder drugs. Such as cocaine and more pills and also more drinking. Of course he did his best to keep that under wraps and not to mention not letting Italia find out and she didn't until after they married for a few years. When he almost missed the birth of his own son.
That was when everything changed, Italia started to notice things more. Even though Robbie tried his best to deny it and keep everything under control but it got harder. The drugs, partying, drinking. It all came crashing down when he got into a car accident while he was driving under the influence of not only alcohol but drugs within his system.
It had been Italia's last straw. She gave him a choice the drugs and partying or her and their son. At the time, he chose wrong. She divorced him and he started to fight for custody and honestly Robbie thought he deserved custody at the time but he didn't. Looking back at it now, he really didn't. But the judge had given them 50/50 custody of their son.
At the time, he felt like he was on cloud nine and that was mostly because of the drugs and drinking. The next time Robbie had gotten into an accident, he had his son in the car and he shouldn't have been behind the wheel. The judge had him arrested, and he spent 90 days in jail, and forced to go to rehab and he wore an ankle monitor after that for a few years and had to report to a parole officer. He lost basically all of his custody of his son, instead he got every other weekend.
Two years.
That was how long Robbie continued to be sober. Two long years, he had discovered a new habit, glass forming. It was something that helped him and helped him focus and not on drugs and drinking. Once he got off of the ankle monitor, and done with probation, he made a suggestion to Italia, move to Beacon Cove. He had heard about it due to some friends moving there. Surprisingly she agreed, but only if Robbie agreed he would continue to do good and he promised that he would.
So they all moved to Beacon Cove even if Italia and him were not together anymore, he still cared for her and just wanted the best because she was the mother of his child. And the ball was in her court for visitation.
