your trainer card series is so cool !!! love the compositions you come up for them, they're each unique and so suited to the character! your artstyle is really distinct it's awesome

I'm curious, are you ever going to do hisui trainers for these? i do realise it might not really make sense lore wise aha because of the lack of a traditional "trainer" scene / in the Past but i was just wondering (no pressure at all btw!)

aside from the lore reason, which ive considered, hisui trainers just dont usually have enough pokemon for me to justify giving them a whole card theres ingo, but ive already got a card for him and emmet volo, but its a big overlap with cynthia's team and i kinda wanna avoid prioritizing those (there'd already be a fantina card if her and morty's team weren't the same swapping banette for spiritomb) ive considered making cards for iridia and adaman, with their respective eevolutions, their sinnoh legendary and their clan's noble pokemon, but because of my 6 mon per card limit rule one of the nobles would have to be left out and even then depicting them all together in one area kinda doesnt feel right?

might still do it some day, im sure i can figure something out! just not a priority

btw when i got over the burn out my tablet decided to stop working lmao im getting used to the new one but i also got ideas for a couple new cards and i cant give up on a good idea so the final eight are now the final eleven-ish

i might've burnt myself out after working on these for over month straight, so imma take a lil art break, but you can still order trainer cards

The drawing of the dark type specialist old men made me audibly squeal on call I love this so much it's so cute I'm saving this thank you aaaa 🥺🥺🥺🙏 HIGHLY recommend y'all get Robin's GORGEOUS trainer cards they're spectacular and the artwork is so beautiful!! THEY'RE VERY COOL!!!! 📣📣📣

And here is my review! This will be split into 3 parts btw.

First things first, they came with this really cool thank you letter.

I honestly thought it would have a letter on the inside but it didn't lmao. However, the drawing is AMAZINGGGG. So cute! We love Kieran and I love the tension!

Next, they came in this super cute envelope with this totes adorbs sticker~

I would honestly buy a sticker sheet ngl. They should probably sell those, would make BANK!!! Also green is my favorite color so that's always a plus.

Next, the star of the show! The cards!

1.

Arven was my personal favorite out of the trio (Arven, Penny, and Nemona.). So when I learned they had a card, I got so excited! It's awesome art, and him running from a titan is so funny. Also, look at that grin on Mamostiffs face! Who could say no to that?!

2.

This one was my FAVORITE!! (I'm not biased at all, what are you talking about >:/.) Listen, he just so happens to have my one of my favorite pokemon (applin) and a great color pallete! No other reason. It would be very cool if they did to that shy Kieran from the first DLC has a card too!

3.

Ahh, Larry, my goat and the only person who actually gives me trouble when I play this game 😭😭😭. I can literally one shot the champion and Nemona but nooo, Larry? I get team sweeped, EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I SOBBED THE FIRST TIME I GOT TO HIS ELITE FOUR BATTLE. HE KILLED MY WHOLE TEAM, I WAS LIVING ON REVIVES AND POTIONS. However, that does make him literally my favorite character in the game. We love him. 😔✊️. His card is very boring and leaves lots of open space. Literally perfect for him. No complaints. I also love the blank printed writing of his name.

4.

RAIHANNNNNN!!! RAIHANNN, MY BOY!!! He's my favorite pokemon sword/shield gym leader! He's my boy, lmao. His gym battle was honestly the only moment I wasn't bored out of my mind that game. Therefore, this card is AWESOMEEE. AND I LOVE THAT SIGNATURE!! ALSO MY FAVORITE TYPE IS DRAGON!! LETS GO!!

Anyways, this shall continue in the next part! Shall the review go one!

Do you have headcanons for the likes of Maylene, Candice, Kitakami Sibs and the BB E4?

candice already confirmed herself she got her froslass from platinum as a way to counter maylene's fighting types, but i like to think her medicham from dp was given to her by maylene also those two are dating fr fr

the way lacey is animated makes me think shes the kind to not know what to do with her arms when shes not actively using them to emote plus whenever she does emote its like shes learned to convey herself in a way that makes her tone extra clear, like she's had trouble with it before and thats her counter and i love that cuz im just like that and it makes me happy seeing that trait represented plus her being a fairy specialist with a connection to the ground type, an affinity for minun and plusle and thick eyebrows... shes just like me fr that jacket's 100% a comfort item

drayton also seems like a victim of high expectations, all that natural talent and a legacy to live up to making him not used to having to try and not wanting to cuz whats the point if you'll never reach the same heights as gramps or iris? deadly combination he's cool tho, he'll come into place eventually

the kitakami sibs have got to be related to pike queen lucy somehow, their grandparents having an arbok, the hair and the eyes having a snake motif, carmine's being black with red highlights just like lucy, kieran's hydrapple its all snakes! i was surprised carmine didnt have a serperior in her blueberry team tbh

I hc that Alain and Professor Sycamore are related!! Specifically Syc is his uncle, but Alain was sent to live with him as a kid so he pretty much raised him. I like to joke with a friend of mine that Lysandre took him in the divorce lmao

alain is one of the funniest characters in the series the fact that he exists in the games canon somewhere was enough of a justification for me to include him in this its also kinda baffling like, oh you mean to tell me the events of the mega evolution special happened in canon? okay. i'll accept this.

then the fact that he stole the kalos league away from ash by speedrunning the gyms a week before the league and beating him on the finals only to later get destroyed by leon's base form charizard in the masters eight to establish just how big the new big dog in town is AND the anakin-inspired character arc on top of it? he couldnt be more polarizing and i fw him heavy because of that

also i get alain is young and sycamore was exes with lysandre, so they're both excused, but how did diantha not notice lysandre was so obviously a fascist???? girl pay attention to what hes saying instead of ur latte youre the champion you should have more foresight!!! girl!!!!!

A while back, I took notice of the fact that Wattson always laughs and Elesa tells silly jokes, so I put two and two together and decided Elesa is Wattson's granddaughter. Not sure if that makes any sense at all, but it's not impossible until proven otherwise, I suppose!

sure i can accept this, lots of people go to unova to try n make it big, unovan dream and everything i swore i remembered wattson's wife using the beauty trainer class model, which in hoenn bears a resemblance to elesa, but she's actually an ace trainer either way she really managed to retain her youthful appearance, maybe elesa took after her grandmother

The togepi and its evolutionary line are related to Latias and Latios, they have the same markings and Togekiss also is some sort of Jet / Drone shaped Pokemon, any thoughts on this headcanon, also, whats one of yours?

i used to be convinced the lati twins were lugia's babies as a child i think its cuz i heard about the baby lugia episode from the johto anime but never actually saw it and i mixed that up with how they mentioned the latis' father in their movie and maybe both of their aesthetic connections to water and the fact that they're all psychic type your hc makes a whole lot more sense but im attached to mine as one of those things a child's brain comes up with from half-remembering stuff

i also connected the latis with mirage tower at a young age cuz the first time i saw latias was at route 111's desert and i thought it mustve refracted light the same way latias' feathers were capable of in the movie
