do i NEED to pack a zillion charging cords and adapters and power banks? probably not. am I going to stuff them all in my personal item anyway? oh absolutely
#the knock-off 3ds charger I got has a plug for my New 3DS XL and second plug for the DS Lite apparently?#I have no idea why I bought that one instead of just a regular replacement for the new 3ds xl#why do I even have so many random cables anyway. what did I need a usb-A to 3.5mm cord for???#I have a mini 8 pin that I'm pretty sure went to a camera I no longer have.#some day I oughta go through and get rid of. probably most of these tbh#I don't have any Apple stuff tho besides this new portable charger that I got bc the one I had before needed a cord to connect to the phone#and this one just plugs straight in and can switch between USB-C and whatever the fuck Apple's shit is called. lightning charger I think?#anyway it didn't really cost any more than one with just usb-c so I figured hey might as well have more options Just In Case

my step-mom suggested we go to [local burger restaurant with two (2) total locations so I ain't gonna name it and doxx myself] for father's day lunch, and on the one hand I do fucking love their food - I order pick-up from them like every time I have a job in the area - but it's also where people at my old church would go for lunch after services and I was kinda nervous bc I Really don't wanna deal with them possibly being there.
But then I was like you know what. Sure, let's go.
Firstly I've already seen some people from church bc they were invited to my dad's wedding. Secondly I'm Literally just gonna be sitting there with my family, and they would presumably be there for father's day as well so they can mind their own damn business and I have a support system if anyone does say shit.
#also I've been there often enough that there's one guy who works in the kitchen who recognizes me whenever I come in to get my order lol#I'm sure it'll be fine. like at worst people will come say hi & try to catch up with us & maybe I'll get gawked at for having facial hair#but my brain Refuses to let go of highly unlikely scenarios like us getting harassed out of the restaurant and/or banned or st#despite my pessimism I do think physical assault is not actually a possibility just due to the number of people that'll be around#and also my sister would kick their asses lmao.#I do miss services sometimes. the church is/was like... somewhere between 1/4th and 1/3rd hispanic/latino members#so we had Spanish services that I went to when I started taking spanish in high school and once a month there was a bilingual sermon too#like yeah my synagogue has a bilingual experience bc Hebrew/Aramaic is used for prayers (and a hint of Yiddish and Ladino)#but it's not the same#like hell the...deacon? I don't remember if he had a title. the guy who interpreted the bilingual services into English#anyway he gave me a bilingual KJV Bible as a high school graduation present#which I still have bc I actually have a collection of different Bible translations lmao#religious stuff#language stuff#kinda

not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed that I don't have to go back and work on this job again. like I need the money, but otoh I've already done way more work on it than I normally do and I'm Tired of driving all the way up there and back
#I was assigned more categories than usual and then asked to cover some my coworkers didn't do correctly#I thought I could finish those last night and apparently I covered enough for it to be considered good#but I was fully expecting to have to drive back out there this morning#job stuff
