If you could abolish any of the current institutions of the Imperium, which would you get rid of first?

Of all the institutions within the current Imperium, I would have to say the Ecclesiarchy. While other things, like the state of the Inquisition, are also opposed to the original idea of an enlightened Imperium, the Ecclesiarchy is a beacon of enforcement of religious ideas fundamentally incompatible with the Emperor's dream. I understand that the deeply held beliefs of the Imperial citizens would not disappear over night, but without the state apparatus, it would be easier to rid us of this folly. I must remind you that my brothers and I had centuries of practice of turning systems away from false beliefs and towards reason.

What do you think of the new Ecclesiarch? How do you think this will affect the balance of the High Lords of Terra?

I appreciate that the new Ecclesiarch is supposedly less tied to conservative Imperial tradition, but he is still the Ecclesiarch. If I were to speak openly, I would have to say his very position offends all my Father stood for and what the Imperium of Man was meant to be.

How it will affect the balance of the High Lords? Not much, I would wager. Some people, families, syndicates, etc, will gain from this, others lose. The Imperial citizens won't know a difference, I am afraid.
