hi friends,

if it wasn’t for all the support, messages and submissions landing in my inbox in the past 5 years I’ve been absent for and the sheer luck that I managed to stumble upon the credentials of the throwaway mail address I used to create this account with 11 years ago, this post wouldn’t even have happened (besides the obligatory flexing with some of the more recent additions to my collection, obviously…)

just wanted to tell you all how grateful I am for all those nice words by bands and fans alike, it truly means the world to me, not to mention all the artists for creating such awesome music and being there for me when I needed them the most. be sure to support them by buying their releases digitally or by grabbing a copy of their record and by going to their shows once this whole pandemic misery has swept clean the earth

and of course I could be spending the whole day bashing all the anon haters as well, but that would just give way too much credit to all those gatekeeping homophobic and racist wastes of breath :)

all that aside, it felt like this story needed an ending too, so this is it! a farewell to you all!

Dear all,

We thought we could outrun the pandemic, but unfortunately it caught up with us.

The 2021 september and october tourdates w/ Jo Quail will be postponed to april 2022, and your tickets will automatically transfer to the new date (or you can apply for a refund). Unfortunately the situation of our Japanese friends in envy is still unclear, and they will not be able to make it.

We are extremely eager to get back out there again, and have some good news too. It simply has been too long and we want to take the opportunity to still visit all of you in september/october 2021, be it in AMENRA’s ACOUSTIC form, following restrictions where necessary. There will be replacement ACOUSTIC shows scheduled for your city/region for sept/oct 2021. Let us come together again. In the flesh.

For all dates tickets will go on sale on Thursday July 15th.

No idea, but thanks for the kind words! I suppose you were about ten years old when Galilean came out, so it’s possible you heard us being played somewhere in a public place. But it’s probably more likely that there’s just some common undercurrent in our music that you recognize; maybe you were familiar with an influence of ours as a child.

<p>Does any of you're songs include a Jazz Bass? Or are they all Presicion Bass?</p>

All of the bass tracks on the first three albums are all Jazz bass. On later albums, Dave used a Jaguar bass with the pickups in series mode. No Precision bass at all, actually!
