I see now the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. This is the one and only Mewtwo. I've traveled the world in search of happiness for myself, and my fellow Pokemon. I intend to continue wandering until I find a place where we can live peacefully. ((This is blog is a part of BFM))

"Ahh yes...I try to maintain the proper human etiquette, although I must say some of its trivialities baffle me. But it's a pleasure to meet you, Yellow. From what I've experienced, the Viridian Forest is a very alluring place; I quite enjoyed it."
...

She gives him a small smile and nods. “I’ve just heard people mentioning your name around, so I thought that it would be you.” The blonde blinks back at him and laughs lightly. “You really are polite, Mewtwo. My name’s Yellow, and I’m from the Viridian Forest.”

He stares at the young girl, surprised that someone actually responded to him. "Why yes, it seems my reputation precedes itself. I am the genetic pokemon, Mewtwo. And who might you be, small human?"
...

“Oh… hello there.” she waves at the Pokemon with a small smile. “You’re Mewtwo, right?”

Mewtwo was skulking about the streets of Ecruteak City, his cloak drawn about his figure so as to hide his true identity. The reason he lingered so long in this area had been simply, to find a way to prove that Team Rocket was behind the murder of the ghost-loving gym leader. Conversing with that red-headed human had only frightened him and wasted time. Clearly he needed to find another approach to acquiring proof.
Then, some dolt shoved a map in his face. He stared at the man from under his hood, then at the map, then back at the face. "The gym?" Mewtwo blankly questioned. "You wish to glimpse the deceased leader? Is that your intention? Or are you merely an inquiring mind?" this much was muttered to himself, a learned verbal thinking that seemed to soothe the humans. "Nevertheless, human, you have caught my interest. Come, I shall show you the gym which you seek." He turned around, the cloak hanging down so it drug on the ground, concealing his inhuman feet. He hated walking which humans found normal, so he used the cloak to his advantage to hide the fact that his feet didn't touch the ground, as he moved in a smooth, gliding motion toward the gym.
HEADLINE: “JOHTO GYM LEADER MURDERED.”
The newspaper slapped upon the desk, causing several other pieces of paper that were before nestled beneath it, to billow up in a whirlwind of notes and reports. As cruel as it sounded, Looker was excited. Cases like this were rare. Finally, a chance to stretch his legs and his mind on something that was genuinely interesting. A flight had already been booked, and a suitcase waited by the door. This was quick work. The fact that he had been summoned there by the very tip-top of his organisation, meant that this case was a big’un. The officer was ecstatic. Often in the line of work, he forgot about the casualty and focused upon the story. The facts. The verdict. This was a massive deal, a huge scoop and Looker had been set on the case personally.
The office never really housed anything personal as Looker never really spent much time at HQ. Travelling seemed to take up a majority of his time, yet he still had a few essentials he needed to pack. Undercover usually worked well for a first visit to the scene. Yeah… get the general tone of the place before he really set to work. His eyes glanced over the various outfits the man had kept over the years. From his previous research, he’d heard that Ecruteak was a fairly average town. The victim in question however, was far from normal. This case got more exciting every second. Looker plucked out a rather simple looking t-shirt and trousers, a scarf and a hat. Tourists were always welcome and that seemed to be a good start.
-
The streets of Ecruteak seemed to be pretty normal, as far as streets went. Armed with a map and a pair of seemingly normal binoculars, Looker made his way about town, peering around corners for any obvious signs of suspicious behaviour. Ah! He spotted someone who appeared to be willing to help a tourist find their way about the place. “Excuse me!” He ran over, brandishing the map at them, his intentions clear before he even spoke another word. “Could you help me find something? I’m a tourist you see? Completely ignorant and all that, just seeing the sights etcetera etcetera. Could you point me in the direction of the Gym?”

[Mewtwo cocked his head to the side] You don't know what I am? If you have a pokedex, it should be able to easily identify me. Or perhaps it cannot. I am tankbred, so there is a possibility that the pokedex might have difficulties with my identity.
[he cocked his head to the other side, much like a bird would] It might not have been Team Rocket? Who else would it be? Do you have a clue, or are you simply trying to cover the true criminal. It wouldn't be you, would it? I've heard the humans use a saying "The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime." Is that what you're doing? Admiring your handiwork?
[Silver scowled.] …well, whatever. Just… never mind. Anyway…

…from what I’ve heard, he wasn’t just an ordinary Trainer.
No, no, it’s… none of your damn business. [He shook his head and crossed his arms.] I just…
[He paused, taken aback. A Pokemon wanting to partner with him? What did that even mean? Confused, Silver frowned at the creature.]
…why would you want to do that? Hell, why would I? I don’t even know what you are. And besides, we don’t have a clue who did it, it might not even be Team… it might not’ve been Rockets.

I never said we fight to kill; I said Team Rocket has killed pokemon. Outside of battle. And that's on top of their experimentation on pokemon. [Mewtwo's previous smirk disappeared] Not something I can change? If one human child could overthrow Team Rocket before, what's to say one pokemon cannot do so now?
Or do you wish to take the glory, yourself? Is that why you're becoming so upset? If that's the case, I might be willing to consider an...alliance.
[Silver grunted and narrowed his eyes.]

Pokemon don’t fight to kill, dumbass. At least not in legal battles. Besides, why are you so worried? It’s just the way things are. It’s not something you can change.
[He winced a little when the Pokemon gestured to the body, and Silver looked away.]
…no, that’s not… it’s none of your business. [He tried to sound angry, but he was too upset by the body to manage it.] It just… it doesn’t matter who did it… I mean… ugh.
[He sighed.] Never mind. Just… think of something other than Rockets, alright? For all we know it was some idiot who lost to him or something and held a grudge.

Oh really? [the slightest of smirks danced across Mewtwo's face] Then tell me, small human, if the roles were reversed, and the humans were kept in balls and forced to battle, would you then think it was ok to kill humans, or would you still consider it immoral, because that's your species being slaughtered?
[Mewtwo cocked his head to the side, seeing the obvious fear in the human's face.] Does that frighten you? The thought that Team Rocket's leader has returned? Do you now believe my claims that this human's death [he gestured to Morty] was the work of Team Rocket?
[Silver stepped back on instinct, suddenly worried about how powerful this Pokemon was, but balled his hands into fists and tried to hide his nervousness.]
Hey, I didn’t make the rules. People have Pokeballs, they catch and train the Pokemon to battle. Sorry, but you’re a Pokemon. [He glared at the strange Pokemon, sneering at him to go along with his sarcastic apology.]
[He looked away, thinking. Really, he didn’t have an answer to that… who in the world would want a Gym Leader dead? His thoughts were disrupted by the creature before him continuing to speak.]

[He felt a sudden chill go down his spine, washing away his concern about the murder. Four Executives was worrying, sure, but… he gulped and spoke, his voice suddenly hoarse.] W-wait… you’re saying that… that he’s…
[He looked down at his hands, his mind racing. If Giovanni was in Johto, then… after so long of searching for him, Silver might be able to actually find the man… then why was he so scared?]

[Mewtwo's eyes flashed dangerously at Silver's outburst] If you wish to keep that tongue of yours, I suggest you pay careful attention to who you're speaking with. You may find yourself in a dangerous situation if you keep up the pace you're going at. [Speaking like that with such a mindset, this kid reminded Mewtwo of...Giovanni]
I haven't a clue why they would want him dead, but who else would it be? Who else in this area is brazen enough to take out a gym leader, much less a respected seer?
[Mewtwo seemed oblivious to the child's disgust with the dead body] Nevertheless, if you haven't been aware, Team Rocket's forces are growing. All four executives have been seen, and I've even heard that their leader has returned. All that has happened within the last month. This can't merely be a coincidence.
[He groans and rolls his eyes.]

…oh my god, are you a moron? There’s a fucking difference between humans and Pokemon, jesus. You don’t see people walking around fighting each other for the hell of… uh… nevermind…
[Annoyed, he stuffs his hands in his pockets and glances at what the strange Pokemon is doing, but looks away when he sees the body. He tries to hide the slight shudder it brings him by talking.]
…but, fucking hell… they don’t just wander around in the open. I mean, geez, it’s been ages since I’ve seen a Rocket, and I’ve been looking for them… why would they go out and kill, uh…
[His voice died in his throat, and he gritted his teeth in frustration. Dammit, this wasn’t supposed to bother him.]

Hm...clearly you are not well-versed in Team Rocket's doings. Aside from their inhumane experiments, they've been known to kill pokemon. If they would do that to a pokemon, what would stop them from coming after humans?
[he kneels down next to Morty's body, inspecting the knife protruding from the chest] Clearly this was done in haste. Someone wanted to silence this human. And considering Team Rocket are the local criminals here in Johto, it only seems likely that it was them.
Someone… killed the Ecruteak Gym Leader?

And nobody knows who did it…? Fucking hell…

I've already stated it was most likely Team Rocket. I'm merely here because I'm curious as to why Team Rocket would want him dead.

A Johto Gym Leader is dead?
Must be Team Rocket's doing.

Polite words, said only out of empathy. Vague enough to soothe a human's heart, but Mewtwo was not a human. Human emotions were sometimes difficult to discern.
This conversation was growing droll, but Mewtwo had a couple more questions he thought this human might know an answer to. "How familiar are you with this area? Are you familiar with the legends of this land?" If nothing else, if Grimsley could help him find just one individual, Mewtwo would be satisfied.
Grimsley listened as the pokemon told him what it sought.
"I am sure you will find it one day, friend. It may take time but eventually, we all find our purpose in life and sometimes we can choose our own. As far as peace goes, if that is also what you seek, I am sure you will find it."

Mewtwo was silent a moment, "I seek...a purpose. I seek peace." It may not sound like much, but the psychic pokemon had been searching for years for a peace of mind, and why he had been brought into this world. Surely there was more to his life than that which Team Rocket had designated?
Grimsley looked over to the psychic pokemon as it addressed him before speaking.
"I am at a loss right now for what my purpose is. I've lost all my fortune before...built it back up again. I have some fame in Unova although my family has some infamy. Now I'm not sure what I would like to do with the rest of my life. What about you? What is it that you seek?"

Mewtwo was silent a moment taking in what the man had said. Slowly he turned back around to fully face Grimsely. "Then if you choose your own fate and shape your own future, what do you want your purpose to be? Is it fame you aim for? Charity? Indulgence? Or are you lost, and at a fork in the road, trying to choose which path to follow?" He didn't mean to come off demanding or intimidating, but simply curious with Grimsely's statement.
Grimsley thought about the question for a few minutes. He had often pondered the meaning of life in general but never really thought too much about his own specific purpose. He took a moment to think more deeply about the question before answering.
"My own specific purpose? I cannot really say that I know it. On one hand there is the concept of fate, that everything happens for a reason and that we serve that purpose but on the other hand there is the concept that we choose our own destinies, therefor we could have a few purposes depending on the what we determine. I'm more for the opinion of choosing our own fate and making my own purpose in this life."

A small smile crept onto Mewtwo's face, unperceivable under the shadows of his hood. He continued gazing out the window. "Your version of daily life varies from my own. My life in inconsistent...changing...growing...I came here searching for a purpose. A meaning to my life, as you might put it." He was silent a moment, pondering. Finally he turned his head, to glance over his shoulder at the man, "Tell me, Grimsley, do you know what your life's purpose is?"
Grimsley racked his brain trying to figure out what rare psychic pokemon were from Kanto, specifically ones that understood humans. So far nothing was ringing a bell for the dark-type master. His eyes followed the pokemon as it went over to the window, musing to himself what exactly it was.
"I've been to Kanto before. It's a nice place. I may stop over there before I head back to Unova. Is that why you're here? To escape the commotion of daily life?"
