I’ve tried multiple times to think of a good answer for this. But the only thing that crosses my mind is the fact that one is a massive transport. Whereas the other is your average bot companion.

It’s like owning a massive polar bear vs a small dog. Sure you can own them, and both can be your pet. You can train them and sometimes they’ll do tricks for you when you ask.

But you know one of them sees you as food.

And you cant fucking tell it what to do if it doesn’t want to listen to you.

It’s simply humoring you when it listens. It tolerates you. No matter how kind it looks you shouldn’t let your guard down around it. It’s an opportunist. It is not your friend.

We shouldn’t have to. We don’t have to. The bot pilot was curious and friendly, but it was no ART, it couldn’t stop me. I could take over the ship’s SecSystem before this human with the temptingly large projectile weapon could blink. I could get that weapon before that human could blink. I wanted to do it, and it bled into the feed.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if Three goes with them to Preservation Alliance. Imagine it from the perspective of the other people on the station. First this group goes on a survey mission that goes very wrong, and it eventually leads to there being a rogue SecUnit hanging around openly insulting your security and being a bit of a menace. Then the SecUnit leaves with some of them, gets kidnapped, and has to be rescued by the former leader of the alliance (who, by the way is the one who brought that asshole SecUnit with her in the first place), and then when they return it’s with a whole new rogue SecUnit, this one they basically stole. I can see them being like “what are you doing, collecting them.”

ART yelling at its crew to do their laundry because Murderbot's important person Dr Mensah is going to be onboard and it needs to make a good impression because it wants Mensah to approve of their 'relationship' and be okay with them 'moving in together', and then being so nice to Dr Mensah when it's been an overbearing, domineering, sarcastic nightmare the whole book is something that is so special to me

So hear me out but I think the funniest shit is that in order to interact with ARTs physical components SecUnit would be required to take workplace safety classes. Like I am imagining just the WORST training videos and an instructor that has Seen Too Much.

This SecUnit has lock out/tag out certifications.

This SecUnit has its NFPA 70E.
