So about the ThornRing

Okay, is it just me or did anyone else interpret the scene of Kris putting the ThornRing on Noelle as Kris literally stabbing a thorn into her finger? If a real life object turns into something slightly different in the Dark World, wouldn’t it make sense for the ThornRing to just be a thorn? Like, Noelle may refer to it as a ring, but that may only be because that’s how she saw it in the Dark World, when it actually had power.

It just felt more visceral and fitting for the scene to have Kris pierce her skin, to slowly inch forward with the goal of stabbing into a finger that’s likely still injured.

So, a lot of people think that Dess is the Roaring Knight. I’m choosing to go with that solely because I’d love to see Dess be protective of Noelle, even if it’s something small like NOT killing her on the spot. More likely than not, the Roaring Knight is going to be decimating EVERYONE who gets in its way but also?? Imagine seeing your little sister getting manipulated by this weird human who is actively making everyone’s day worse. Like I DOUBT the Roaring Knight has “abuse poor deer girl” in its goals, whether or not the Knight is actually Dess.
