Not being able to attribute a word to your pain because you don't actually know the real cause/ haven't been diagnosed really makes it feel like you're 'faking it' even when your vision goes funny and you can't breathe normally.

i've seen a couple different people bring up that non-binary people are treated as functionally gender apathetic over the years and it's the kind of thing where after you notice it once you start to notice it everywhere

non-binary people are somehow more prone to being transphobic and upholding cissexism, not because this is an actual trend among non-binary people, but because non-binary people are just gender apathetic and aren't REALLY subverting cisnormativity like binary trans people are. the fact that transphobes are almost never willing to recognise non-binary genders is ignored because non-binary people are basically gender apathetic.

non-binary people are associated with being non-dysphoric and not transitioning, not because non-binary people inherently actually are those things, but because non-binary people are just gender apathetic and obviously wouldn't want to change anything about themselves. what direction would they even transition into if they're just gender apathetic. ignore the multiple directions of transition other than "male" and "female" they're not REALLY transitioning.

worlds like lesboy are hated because people only tentatively include non-binary people in lesbianism out of an expectation that they're gender apathetic and can be pushed in the direction of the "man" box or "woman" box whenever, and a non-binary person who feels their gender very strongly is too scawy. words meant to fill a gap in language for non-binary people like "joyfriend" are dismissed because the idea that a non-binary person isn't okay with just being called vague and obfuscating language like "partner" and wants to be referred to by their gender directly is too scawy. non-binary people who dare to give a shit about their gender are too scawy.

this is what most people are referring to when they make the claim that non-binary people are forced to be genderless or that genderless people are more recognised than other non-binary people. they're not, any genderless person could tell you that genderless people aren't accepted whatsoever, but the expectation that you're just a cis person who's apathetic about your gender solely because you're non-binary feels similar to someone saying you don't have a gender at all. people cannot imagine a world where the gender binary isn't the primary model of gender, so every deviance from that model is just assumed to be the result of some apathy about whether or not you're a man or woman.

perisex people waxing poetic about how anti-trans laws could theoretically affect intersex people is so pointless. they don't have to. what do you think is stopping people from abusing intersex people now? backlash from the general public who thinks it's appropriate to call intersex people hermaphrodites? the laws in the vast majority of countries that don't even consider intersex people a protected class, let alone have made any kind of intersexist abuse illegal?

whatever you think could happen to intersex people is already happening to absolutely no pushback from perisex people. we're medically raped, murdered, castrated, and selectively aborted. we face among if not outright the highest rates of sexual assault, conversion therapy, suicidality and homelessness in the queer community. stop sitting on your ass and waiting for the news of all things to tell you to give a shit. how many intersex people have to die before perisex people think it's important enough to start paying attention?
