“daemon wasn’t abusive to rhaenyra in the book” you mean the book with no dialogue or female perspective? with unreliable sources that didn’t have full access to their lives? that leans heavily into the theme of women having no power or voice? you mean that book??? sorry if i don’t take that at face value when it comes to the things women are subjected to behind closed doors

“the show is adding unnecessary violence towards women” no, these women were subjected to unspeakable things regardless of whether or not it was detailed, that is the nature of the world they inhabit. you just hate that the show is forcing you to see it by allowing a woman’s perspective.

Alicent steps towards the balustrade, eyes trained on the view, the wind’s intensity fluctuating as it breezes through the furs lining her shoulders.

okay i have to run with the delusion for a second. so the thoughts around town are alicent already knows who the person holding the knife is, judging by the way she grabs the hand. that or she's already in her ready-to-die era and the whole situation is just not that urgent to her lmao

also, obviously it's not indicative of the entire scene but the person is holding the knife so awkwardly? especially if you take into account which hand it is and where alicent is in relation. there are several more immediately threatening ways to hold it if your intent is to actually cause harm. it's giving rhaenyra half assing it being all bark no bite when it comes to hurting alicent like girl-
