Paranormal Ghost Induced Pregnancy?

this is an idea i had FOREVER ago and finally i’m drawing it

One day the spirits of the woods chose a skilled farmer to regrow the population of spirits with their own body. Inside the farmer they planted a tree that grows and withers with the seasons, and their bounty is her bounty. Every year the tree blooms and grows with the fruit that will be the new young spirits, and in the late summer and autumn they drop from the tree and are birthed by their mortal mother. The farmer takes much pride in the fact that they were chosen for such an important task, even though the true nature of their pregnancy must be kept a secret. Even in the winter they keep a round, though small, belly as a reminder that their work is never finished.

and by the time the weathers change and the boy could continue again, he finds he's too heavily pregnant to continue traveling and have any hope of reaching his destination.. he has no choice but to stay in this little cottage, on his own, and hope the food he had with him will last long enough

and who knows, maybe it's not really abandoned. maybe the owner of the house returns eventually, to find this poor pregnant boy... and who knows what he'll do to the boy, trapped and at his mercy right there in his very own house... :)

Maybe he was travelling because he knew he was going to have complications later in his pregnancy and needed to get to a better city with specialized doctors to help him before he went into labor, but getting trapped in this tiny cabin in the woods means he wont be getting any help when the time comes. He could be carrying multiples, something inhuman, or maybe something demonic, anything that would be too dangerous to carry to term without medical assistance.

Now he's stuck, scared and alone in the woods where travellers rarely pass by, getting closer and closer to his due date. His belly continues to swell, now far past his knees and weighing him down like a boulder pulling on his small frame. There's no way for him to call for help, and he dreads the day his waters finally break, knowing how long and painful his labor will be, unsure if his body will be able to survive such a difficult birth.

He sobs when he begins to feel his belly cramp, moaning and rubbing the taut skin in fear. Each contraction gets worse and worse until he's screaming into the empty woods, begging and pleading for help as something huge drops into his hips, even though he knows there's no one around for miles and miles. All he can do now is pray to the gods for his survival as he starts to push out the first of many through his too narrow hips
