Cutthroat, The Deathless Demon | OC Art

A member of the Set It Off fandom asked me if I would join to the Deathless Cult, which is technically a fun and creative group where the members make demon characters out of the band's albums/songs.

I gladly joined and chose my favourite song to make mine, so there he is: Cutthroat, the demon of the song Killer In The Mirror. I took the singer's appearance from the music video and turned it into a mirror-demon kinda creature, having glass shards in his back (symbolizing the theme of the song, which is betrayal and backstabbing), which he can use as weapons.

I've made up some little lore for his character: when he was drowned in that pool in the music video, on the other side, he met a woman who appeared in his reflection, who offered him justice for the wrongdoings he had to go through. When he accepted it, he got his powers but with a curse: he became a demon because of his vengeful intentions. The woman pulled him into the mirror, causing it to fall into several shards, stabbing into his back and chest, symbolizing all the betrayals he had to endure.

He got his revenge, but he remained to be a demon, his actions cursed him for eternity. The woman betrayed her, which cost him almost all of his humanity, making him more distrustful towards everybody.

He looks smug in this picture, but most of the time it is a mask, he really is just using the little confidence he has to scare his opponents.

That woman's character is from another music video of the band called Dancing With The Devil. Some fans are creativly theorising about music videos being connected in some ways, so I've made my own connections with the Midnight album, where Killer In The Mirror and Dancing With The Devil are on.

Also, I roleplayed for a few months last year with the guy, and that developed a little of his personality. He is mostly stoic, grumpy, and calm, but can be lethal if the scene demands it. I sketched out some of his faces: first being the rarest, when he tastes blood. He doesn't need blood, he's not like vampires but more like carnivores - so he tastes it, he can go feral, into full-demon mode even. The second face is his default one. Even though it looks like he is sad here, he isn't xD It wanted to be a simple, emotionless expression, but turned out to be looking way too sad xD And the final one is on his face when he is teasing someone and enjoying them being annoyed xD

And this one just shows how he is most of the time, but in a Christmas vibe around him xD He drinks hot chocolate, maybe xD

This Is Still About You... | Crossover Fanart

Crossover fanart for Set It Off, as tomorrow the reimagined version of their song Wolf In Sheep's Clothing will come out, and I'm so excited about it!

I was that "kid" (I was 20, so maybe a young adult xD) who knows this song because of Undertale music videos. And funnily enough, I never looked into the band at that time, only listened this song and Nightmare with the game music videos, and that's it. Oh boy, I would have known them for almost 10 years if I had started listening to their music back then XD

Anyways, it was really fun to draw. All band members as characters from the game - Cody Carson (singer) as Sans, Maxx Danziger (drummer) as Undyne, and Zach Dewall (guitarist) as Asgore. For the singer, it was obvious, he sings the song in first person, so it can be pictured as Sans talking to Chara. For the drummer, I chose Undyne because the guy is now a wrestler as well, and since Undyne is a muscular warrior, I thought it could be fitting for him. And for the guitarist...well, he is the tallest in the band, and Asgore is a huge monster. I couldn't think about much more XD

Also, some wolf silhouettes for the song. I really loved working on it, and I was surprised when I saw last weekend that I finished it. I, who always battles with deadlines, finished early. I was really happy about it and couldn't wait to upload it.

The Wrong Elsewhere | AMR - SIO Crossover Fanart

If I want to draw more than two people, sketching becomes hard. XD

So, when I was listening to Set It Off's Elsewhere album - or at least the songs from it with music videos - the vibes were really Alice In Wonderland on steroids with the fever dream-like settings and with the annoyingly bright colors. I'm not judging right now, I just can't describe it better.  Also, they used rabbit symbols for the ARG lore they made for this album, and there was a demo (I think) with the name Alice, so it is kind of confirmed that they got inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

So that gave me the idea: what if they stepped over that portal that was in the "Skeleton" music video and instead of Elsewhere, they end up in American Mcgee's Wonderland, where Alice and Chesire Cat awaits for them? That would be quite shocking. I do love that game and its world, but I wouldn't be happy ending up there, knowing the horrors that await you there.

Nightmares | 2023 Drawtober Art

Again, I drew this piece for the 2023 Drawtober for the 'Nightmare' prompt - Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist battling his demons. I think in the Brotherhood series there was a PTSD-like nightmare scene, where Edward was tortured with the memories of her mother - or with the thing which she became when he and his brother tried to bring her back to life - and with Nina, the little girl, who became a chimera thanks to her psychotic father, who melted she and her dog together just to save his title as State Alchemist. In the nightmare, I think both his mother and the chimera blamed Edward that it was all his fault that he couldn't save them - yep, because the chimera Nina shortly after was murdered alongside his father and that was the true breaking point for Ed in that case. He couldn't even save a little girl, so how could he become State Alchemist? That scene, where he asks this from his brother, Alphonse, always broke my heart and I can truly understand why he had these hellish nightmares.

Fangtom | Lego Ninja GO Fanart

There was a time when I watched Lego Ninja GO (I worked at a kid's hair salon and some of them wanted to watch this show) and I liked the Serpent antagonists.

Fangtom, is one of the snake lords from Lego Ninja Go. A few years ago I remade Pythor in my style and I decided that I'd draw down all snake lords from the show. All of them look cool, but that Lego-body shape looks goofy on all of them.

His people, the Fangpyres are vampire snakes - if they bite someone, the victim will become a snake. Fun fact, but when they accidentally bite themselves (god knows how...) they grow a second head, Fangtom being one example.

Possessed | 2023 Drawtober Art

This one was a prompt for 2023's Drawtober: for the 10th day they gave us "possessed", so I let my twisted imagination loose XD Inspired by Blits Azalis Dash's picture: Princess Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony gets possessed and the entity brutally disfigures her. The bone sticking out of her back is the remaining part of her wings...maybe she tore it off herself with magic, who knows. Mature warning for the gore.

Pumpkin | 2023 Drawtober Prompt Art

In 2023 I tried to go through Drawtober, which I failed halfway through, but it was still fun to make. One of my favorites was this one on day 2 - Pumpkin, which I drew in the FNaF 4 Halloween edition style. Here's Chica's head on a creepy animatronic-like pumpkin. I couldn't decide if the black-and-white or the colored one was the scarier, so I made both.

Shadow Demon | OC Art

...I just want to be a better human But it's hard when everybody's acting stupid Pardon me if that came off rude, I just have a bad attitude With the world and not just with you, it's the side effects of abuse I admit I'm a little strange, I don't think that I'll ever change... /Falling In Reverse - Prequel/

Came as a quick idea, redesigning this fella - Jon Acheron from an unfinished (and barelly started) story I struggled with for 10 years. But I have 2-3 characters I wanna save from that world, because I loved their look and characteristics (even though some of them was shallowly made, not really thought through - most of them were my favourite singers kinda).

Jon was the first I wanted to remake, technically just watching videos about the singer of Falling In Reverse and when I saw that the man has his full upper body in blackout tattoos, it immediately made me think about this demon boy - that type of tattoo really fitting for his character, but here it is his actual skin tone. Being a half-creature, he has porcelain white and black with a bluish tint, like tattoos do (at least that's what I saw, glaring at my own tattoos for like five minutes to figure it out xD).

Also, listening Prequel from Falling In Reverse and listening the verse above once again remind me of Jon, so yeah, I can thank to this band my creative wave XD

Shadow magic manifests around his hands like this, kinda inspired by Raven from Teen Titans. This magic is like a type of dark magic, but Jon uses it for good - yeah, I left this info to the end, that this man is not evil XD He just loves to mess with his foes and as a demon, he can have a devilish grin easily.

Feeling Dangerous | Set It Off Fanart

Don't press your luck, we woke up feeling dangerous!

Here's another Set It Off fanart about their singer, Cody Carson again: in his Elsewhere Era, which was an intentionally colorful and pop rocky album, and in his new Deathless Era (I dunno if this is the official name for it, but since one of their tours was named like this, I call it like this), which has heavier sounding songs and less colors.

Elsewhere had a little lore to it, kinda like the band was trapped in a world called Elsewhere (heavily inspired by Alice In Wonderland and maybe The Backrooms) and its intentions were to take total control over the guys (symbolism for social media) and the trio started to get away from this control more and more. I think it ended with them being able to escape, and the new era is the polar opposite because of it: they broke their chains and took control in their own hands.

It was fun to make this pic, mainly because of the Elsewhere look's colors - if someone had told me in the past that I would use such eye-cancer-causing color, I would laughed at them. And now here we are, I used these colors, and I loved working with them!

The Glitch Demon | Hazbin Hotel AU Fanart

Back in 2016-2017, my DeviantART account was about YouTubers, mostly about @therealjacksepticeye and his alter ego, Antisepticeye. This fan phase died down for years until last year when I heard the Hazbin Hotel show's last song, especially Alastor's part (the original and one with Sean's voice), which screamed Anti for me. The lore may be totally changed for Anti (I mean the Iris Project video), but in the old times, he was like a demon trapped inside Sean and was determined to take over his body no matter what. Those little times when he could take over, he was always threatening the audience and repeatedly said that he had no strings on him, and you can't stop him - which was technically wasn't true in my opinion. Okay, sometimes there was some strange stuff in Sean's uploading, and people were afraid that maybe making fun of Anti would have serious consequences, but nothing happened. I mean, he hurt some of the Egos...welp, Anti tried his best to make us afraid.

I can imagine that he could only do so little because he was bound to Sean, and it shrunk his true powers to a minimum. So these lyrics really fit him. Also if he is truly a demon and not a sinner, I can totally picture him in the Greed ring. Not just because I drew green flames, but he wants to have everything to himself, wants full control over everything, he wants power...this is a pretty greedy thing to think about. 

Also, if you couldn't tell by now, Anti and Alastor have the same type of energy for me, even though in the past Anti was that really aggressive and psychopathic freak and while now looks like he is more laid back (which is kinda more threatening in my opinion) still have the same energy.  To give more seriousness and deepness to this scene, in the current theories Anti is the reason for the death of Chase's family. We don't know how he did that (possessing Chase or on his own) but I can imagine Anti showing up and kindly asking about Chase's family like nothing happened to them (with a psychopathic grin). I want to think that he is THAT fucked up.

If you don't know what is the Iris Project, I can highly recommend it, but first, watch the video called simply Chase. Both of them are connected to each other and could be fun for even the ones who don't know about Jacksepticeye's egos. These videos are the cannon ones so you slowly get to know the characters.

Duality | Set It Off Fanart

Last year I got into Set It Off's music and it always means fanart dumping from my end.

Fanart about the lead singer @codysio in his Midnight Era and in his recent Deathless Era. I love that all of their albums have a specific theme and that's what inspired me. 😁 I just had the idea because of the mirror that it could be cool to draw down Cody's two eras, the blue-haired one being like his own evil self from the past and the new one looking back to it with surprise, knowing how long he left this version of himself behind. A silly idea for a fun drawing.
