Patient History
Rosalyn lived on a farm when she was younger. Her home was secluded from the town. Her mother home schooled her and taught her how to be a proper lady. With her parents both religious, she had no choice but to be the lovely Christian daughter they always wanted. Her father was too strict and controlling. He was the type of man to do everything as the Lord would want, yet he’d forget all about that after a couple of beers. He’d hit her mother and sometimes herself. Rose became fearful of her dad and knew that if she didn’t comply to all the rules and demands, it’d only upset him. She knew it was all wrong, though. Her mother on the other hand excused his behavior every time.
Both Rose and her mother weren’t allowed to go outside, except on rare occasions. This is how Rose’s fear of being outside stemmed from. She isn’t used to the outside world after being locked inside all the time. She’s glimpsed some helpers on the farm, however the idea of being around other people began to frighten her. She doesn’t know how life really is. Though a part of her had always wanted to escape, when she got older she let that dream go and allowed her fear to keep her rooted in her place. One day her father severely beat her mother. Afraid that she was next, Rose ran out of the house and kept running. Some would say she faced her fear by going outside, but it only made her phobia worse. She had no idea where she was going and fought against the elderly couple who almost ran her over and took her to the police station.
Soon they had her father in custody and her mother in an ambulance. At the time she was sixteen, so the state tried putting her into the system. The same elderly couple were concerned for her well being and continued to try to help and check up on her. When that didn’t work, she was placed into her first mental institution. Rose always seemed to blend in among the other patients, not really getting the help she needed. She was placed in Griffon’s Gate for a fresh start, but so far she’s been keeping herself cooped up in her room.
Current History
With her mother gone and no knowledge of where her father is, Rose feels completely alone. The only people she has are the elderly couple, but lately they haven’t visited her. She will follow the rules and do as she’s told, as long as it doesn’t involve having to step foot outside.
Patient Personality
Rose is kind. She always second guesses herself and tends to be naive and gullible. While she know’s she’s supposed to get better and one day leave, she has no clue how to survive on her own. She’s mainly lost and afraid, but tries to be strong for herself.

Text
Rose had been cooped up in her room for as long as she could. She had skipped everything-- the therapy, the socializing, the meals. If it weren't for the nurse that came by and gave her her meds, as well as some fruit and water, she may have starved to death. Maybe that was paranoid thinking. The uncertainty was on the blonde's face as she cautiously walked down the hall.
