This was rlly popping off on tiktok so ill put it here as well

Anyway, this animatic is for an AU Im thinking of about Shatterd! Dream, but instead of shattering when he's an adult after NM was corrupted, it's while they were still kids. Dee (baby dream) was close enough to Night while Night was about to eat the apple and managed to wrangle it out of his grasp. As he saw the villagers closing in, Nighty reaching out towards the apple, and the apple yelling at him to eat it, he eats it. Though as he was holding it, part of the corruption (the man who cut down Nim) was melted off due to his positivity. He gets semi-possessed and eats a few more apples. But Night, who is now out of the corruption's influence, grabs Dee and runs. As he runs, a villiger hits his skull with something, causing a big crack to form, which worsens each time he uses too much of his powers, and it becomes a small hole when he accidentally makes a portal to a new AU.

The main plot after this is them going to different AUs and interacting with the ppl there.

Dee still has the golden apple in his bag from when he was helping the villagers, and not all the tree was corrupted. He was still covered in goop, but he has little control over it and its hard for him to move (it's why he doesn't have a mouth and is very goopy in this). howver the man who cut down Nim sometimes takes control of Dee, but bc he wasn't fully curoppted, its sparadic and very obvious (he has a mouth then and is in more control of the goop bc he's older and can figure it out. He can also talk, Dee cannot (that well at least). Night's hole also continues to grow until he is in a safe place where someone else is able to care for both him and Dee (and I'm thinking either a Blue variant or Fresh (why Fresh? ask my friend, he's the one who brought him up)

I got possessed yesterday and I couldn't stop drawing. did thi sin like 8 hours (almost complty straight)

i wasn't even thinking ab making one of these, i just did it and boom!

Error and Ink!

Self-appropriation gods/protectors of destruction and creation. The multiverse does not need them, yet they do it anyway (heavy inspiration from @/signanothername on Tumblr).

Error wears a black hoodie with blue ombre that he has sewn on. His hood, pockets, and the inside of his jacket are yellow. He wears a long blue scarf and black pants with blue ombre. He's rolled up and swen one of his pant legs to allow more sensation to his bones. He craves physical touch, feelings, and sensation, so all his clothes are made up of different fabrics to allow the max amount of sensation he can feel. This is because of his time in the anti-void, where he felt almost nothing. This can also cause him to become uncomfortable and glitch sometimes, yet he finds the pros outweigh the cons. He also wears mismatched fluffy socks and sandals (both stolen from a certain Fell!Sans). His slippers can stay on pretty well because of the thick socks, but they can fall off, and they have his people in the head before. Whenever one goes missing, he simply steals a new one.

Ink has a teal belt that keeps his overalls up, and his overalls are actually a few sizes up which allows the strap to hang loose by his side. His scarf is covered in notes (which I forgot/didn't want to draw)

Ink's vials:

Red: anger, wrath, discontentment

Orange: confusion, embarrassment

Yellow: joy, ephuria, contentment

Green: jealousy, stress

Blue: curiosity, awe

Teal: sadness, boredom

Purple: fear, anxiety

Pink: love, relief

Appletwins! (Dee & Night)

oughh, my babies, ohh I love them so much!!! Since they're around 500-600 years old, I was looking at Spanish princes from the 1500s, and I really like how they look. The little white things in the middle of their tops are just long cravats (i think). I saw them in a painting, but i cannot find the painting, but whatever. They both have little eyelashes on 1 eye, bc they're cuties. I want them to look very around, like you'd push them down a hill and they'd roll forever.

Their clothes were created by Nim after their creation to help hide their souls. So were the crowns. She also created the tree symbol as she already had a symbol (a tree with an apple), but bc of the 2 new guardians, she wanted to represent them as well. It's of a sun, moon, and star being surrounded by a tree. (The sun and moon based on modern depictions of medieval depictions of the solar system?, and this specific tree of life is from Celtic belief.)

They both wear capes, which are pieces of the banner they tied around the tree. Dee got one first, during a thunderstorm, before the villagers moved in. Night wanted to comfort his brother, so he tore a piece off the banner and wrapped it around Dee. Dee then wanted to pay it back, so he tore off a piece, soaked it in some mashed-up berries, and gave it to Night. They were both very happy with the gifts from one another, but they had no way to hold them up. So together they made little star pins with their own colors, then gave them to one another. They used ot do this a lot, giving each other little gifts, and then returning them, often with food or cute things they found around the woods.

The little flowers on their boots are from a flower field not too far from the tree where they spend a lot of time. Together, they decided to pin them to their shoes to bring in more colors (and to remind them of each other). Their boots are made of soft leather, which allows them to move around. Also, Dee's boots, the flap goes over his whole leg, while Night's boots have a slit in the flap thing (IDK what it's called)

They also lack gloves, which can be very annoying for skeletons as it causes a whole lotta dirt and dust to get in their phalanges, which can be uncomfortable for most. Nim simply didn't know about this and didn't think too much of it. Because of this, Dream and Nightmare are used to the feeling, and they don't need gloves.

They're actually quite tall for a sans baby, bc they're based on blue, who is much taller than an average sans. They also laugh like Blue "Mwehehe" and their eyes can turn into stars.

Dream and Blue

Dream has changed a lot since he was younger. His eyes have dulled bc of stress and the lack of positivity in the universe (since NM had 500 years to spread negativity, which is why there are so many angsty AUs). Dream is attempting to restore the balance to as it was before he was trapped in stone.

His crown has his star and also Night's moon, as during the apple incidient, the crown was thrown off and the moon piece fell off. When Dee saw this after being rescued by Ink (a story I will explain later), he begged Ink to fix it and to put it on his own crown. Dream has changed his crown's band many times, but the star and moon are still the same as they were back in the day, so they are quite small and damaged.

His boots are still leather, but a different type. Ink brought him to an expert shoe maker once to get new boots. They have daisies engraved onto them. The patch of fabric that had the symbol on his old cape (which Night painted on) was sewn onto a new cape. The little pouch on his belt is filled with emergency medical supplies, food rations, and condensed magic (it's like a pocket dimension, almost? It's never ending in its pace. Likely a gift from Ink.)

His soul is now the golden apple, which turned him from the guardian of the tree of feelings into the guardian of positivity.

I don't have much to say about Blue (I'm so sorry :( ) other than I'm not super happy with how this specificity turned out (I've drawn him b4 and they look better than this), so I might tweak his design more.

Theres more i want to say, but I forgot it, so I'll add that later.

Sans, Axe, and Mur

Sans has link gloves and socks, gray sneakers, and his quite chill. His shorts pockets are big enough to fit his trombone.

He and Axe have the most similarities (the shoes, untied shoelaces, basketball shorts, and blue hoodie)

Axe, oughh my sweet sweet boy. His color palette is much warmer than the other Sanses, 1 to show how much he's changed, and 2, he wasn't able to fully wash himself or his clothes for years, and even under NM, the stains will never fully wash away.

The fur on his jacket has become matted and dirty from time, and he's just tired all the time. He's become so short because during the 7 years he didn't eat, his body was consuming itself to keep himalive. This caused his bones to discolor, him to shrink, his magic to become unstable (also because of the distance from him and his eye), his body to feel unstable (which is why his stance is toed, an attempt to keep his balance). His empty eye stays open because there is not enough magic to make it work. His clothes are also very threadbare and are not comfortable at all.

Axe's soul has become gray due to him gaining LV (killing humans), losing magic, and losing his soul traits (love, hope, and compassion). It used to be grayer, but since he adopted Aliaiza, they've been coming back. (The idea of soul traits and what magic monsters are made up of was inspired by this fic I read a bit ago (omg it's so good))

Mur is covered in dust, and it cannot be washed out. His slippers are quite ragged and thin, but he doesn't care. His face is always in shadows, unless his hood is down for whatever reason. You can also see the glow of his eye when he's using his magic, but it dons't reflect on his face.

Neither Axe, Mur, or Killer wears gloves as NM wants to keep them uncomfortable.

Killer & Nightmare

Killer's fluff is very soft and well-maintained (because of Color). He wears a black turtleneck that is cropped and is tight against his ribs. His sneakers are Velcro.

Nightmare is no longer Night, he is the man who killed Nim, who was then accidentally sealed into the tree. It is why the apples are black. The negative apple used to be purple (which way Night was purple), and where made to comfort and help with mental illness (golden for physical illness and bringing fun) (comfort was inspired by this post from @/coolingrosa and the illness was inspired by this drabble by @/ancha-aus (it's linked to the part where they talk ab the apples, it's when dust find the dreamtale book)).

I also really like how @/returntosunder gave NM a big cape and hand his tenticals coming out of the bottom like shadows/wisps, and the way they drew his crown. When NM became NM, he threw away Night's old crown and made a new one out of silver.

I'm not the biggest fan of his clothing, so that is likely to change as well, but the high-heeled boots with the boot covers are staying (and yes, that is Neuvillette; he has the boot covers that I'm trying to explain, it helps keep dirt off of their shoes.)

NM has a lot of connections to other AUs to gather supplies and gain allies, and his main selling point is that 1. He and his gang won't attack that AU and 2. They will be safe from any other outside threats. Especially in those 500 years where Dream was gone, he made great progress and has a huge network of AUs under his command. AUs that only have a few monsters/ppl left, he takes them in as workers, AUs that have a specific resource, he trades with, AUs that are filled with negativity, he also trades with. He opened up a lot of AUs to one another so they can trade, and they're all very reliant on NM for many things. So it's kinda like the mob and colonization.

I see the man who killed Nim was a king from a land in Dreamtale, and he was a great ruler, which is why NM is such a good leader. Not a good person, but he knows how to get people to do what he wants.

His main lackies are Horrors, Dust's, and Killers, as they're all quite strong and relatively easy to manipulate (Dust is the hardest, Horror is the easiest). And despite they often go by different names (Axe and Mur), he will always call them by their AU names, bc he knows it pisses them off.
