Idk why I've been so nervous to post this, I've put it off for almost a week I think?
I'm pretty happy with it overall, and tried some new stuff that seems to work with my methods.
Even incorporated a background originally done in a Bob Ross style to start it - always happy to put newly learned techniques to use in other projects.
Her coord includes an old gobelin jsk from Metamorphose temps de fille ♡
Drawn and painted in Procreate.
Uploaded two versions on redbubble in case anyone would like to support via prints, stickers, shirts, etc.!
Of course I started my period while recovering from pneumonia while another hurricane passes through
ANYWAY
While continuing to be on bed rest today I made a GLB piece with images from the first issue. I honestly love how it came out and I'm happy I let myself be a lil' weird with it.
I kind of want it on a shirt to make a cutsew from, so I uploaded it to my redbubble and I'm honestly in love with how it looks on everything (.❛ ᴗ ❛.)
If you want to grab any of 'em, remember that it's helping me financially recover from being out of work sick 🥲
There's been a lot of bumps in the road while trying to get my stuff back on schedule in general, but to top things off real nicely,
now I'm bed ridden with pneumonia.
Luckily my ft job offers medical insurance, but I still had to pay somewhere around 100 for chest x-rays today, then had to pay for prescriptions, and I don't get paid sick leave. So I'm likely missing an entire paycheck+ worth when this is over.
I know I'm not the only one that's fucked by capitalism and living paycheck to paycheck, but missing this much work is going to ***fuck*** me and having a kid to feed just... well, yeah.
Hate asking and admitting I need help, but if you can spare a few bucks to toss at my under utilized ko-fi it would be so appreciated.
If you're unable, that's obviously still very okay, I appreciate you taking the time to read. Be well ♡
Starting with hurricane Ian, as well as various full-time day job garbage, parenting, and health issues, I had to take sidestep from this project for a bit, and I apologize to any this was a disappointment to.
There are blossoming plans to resume Twitch streams of my lacemaking (and possibly other Roseground processes?) shortly - in a more sustainable and proactive manner for my workload and health. I'm trying to not jump the gun and get right back in without thoroughly planning out everything to a more attainable capacity. 😅
Been doing a lil work on my twitch stream slides - it’s not perfect, but neither am I. Per request on insta I’m going to try to be better with uploading to youtube as well, and, pending potential technical ineptitude, I think I’ve gotten that figured out a bit more?
Nevertheless, see you tonight at 830pm e on twitch.
Fighting a cold on my day off, but the weathers dreary and drizzly - an idyllic opportunity to work on some lace, and a relieving break from the humid, infernal Florida weather.
This is the first time I've clicked around my bobbins since I broke my thumb a few months ago. I had an overwhelming, silent fear that I would have more trouble picking it back up.
