convinced fandom doesn't know how to appropriately deal with misogynistic male characters. either it's "this man whom we don't like has been misogynistic, which is unforgivable, therefore he's evil" or it's "this man whom we like has been misogynistic, which is unforgivable, so let's all just pretend it didn't happen". which is really annoying if you are a liker of 1. the former category of characters or 2. genuine character flaws
