I will be sure to share my thoughts on it with you!
I plan on finishing Queen of Air and Darkness, and then reading Red Queen, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Side Effects May Vary and Crown of Midnight. I feel like I'm so late to the party on all of these books.
To be honest, I’m always late to the party with super popular books (I like to take a step back from all the hype!). Would love to hear your thoughts on Red Queen since I hear such mixed things about the series!

Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas
Tumblr media
“ You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.”
Where do I start with Throne of Glass? I loved everything about this book. Well almost everything (Kaltain did my head in.) So much so, that even 3 days after finishing the book, I still can’t put into words why I loved it so much. Just trust me, if you haven’t read Throne of Glass yet, drop whatever you are reading and read it now! You will thank me later! It’s so often spoken about for a reason.
I would definitely give Throne of Glass a strong 5/5 stars. Well worth the read.
Have you read Throne of Glass? What did you think? Let me know.

Magisterium: The Iron Trials - Holly Black and Cassandra Clare
Tumblr media
“Fire wants to burn. Water wants to flow. Air wants to rise. Earth wants to bind. Chaos wants to devour. Call wants to live.” - Cassandra Clare, The Iron Trial
I originally picked this book up because I love all of Cassandra Clare’s other works. I had high hopes, and oh boy was I let down.
I went into this book blind, having not read any reviews for it before. But quickly I started to realise that there was a LOT of similarities between this book and Harry Potter. And, I think that’s why it took me so long to figure out if I liked it or not. To be honest, I’m still not sure that I enjoyed it enough to read more in the series.
Halfway through the book, I had my suspicions about how the book was going to end, and I was half right. Without giving to much away, the only thing that kept me reading this book was the plot twists, without them, I probably would have given up on it.
I would give this book a 3/5 stars.
Have any of you read this book? What did you think about it?
Hope everyone has an amazing New Year and I wish you all the best for 2019.

My True Love Gave To Me - Stephanie Perkins
Tumblr media
“He says presents aren’t important, but I think they are - not because of how much they cost, but for the opportunity they provide to say I understand you.” - David Levithan, My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Short Stories.
This was the first and only festive book that I decided to read this year, and I am so glad that I chose this one. It was heartwarming and warm, and just what I needed to get into the festive spirit. There was some of these short stories that I loved and will always hold dear to me, and there was some that literally sent me to sleep (which is something that has never happened to me before).
My favourite stories had to have been Christmas, CA and Mdnights. There was something just so pure and simple to the stories that kept me hooked until the end.
My least favourite story was The Girl who Woke the Dreamer. I don’t know what it was about this short story, but it just didn’t grip me like the other stories did, and I actually fell asleep halfway through reading it. It was just a little bit of a let down for me.
I would give this book 4/5 stars!
