Bud.. ♡ Yesterday was supposed to be my last session but we're literally at the final boss of a labyrinth so idk how we're gonna get Bud outta there to make the switch back to the real dwarf cleric

Got invited to be a temp player in a campaign since the life cleric is out of state for work. I decided to "replace" the dwarf. Two sessions in and no one suspects anything mwahaha. The chaos when I leave and the dwarf comes back will be brilliant

Bud is a celestial warlock whose patron is a unicorn. The unicorn has a habit of saving the abused and oppressed and bringing them into its forest, healing their emotional scars before they are sent back into society. Bud was one of these people. However, he didn't want to leave. Outside is scary.

So the unicorn kicked him out for his own good. He is magically banned from the forest until he "makes a friend". Bud is trying really hard to circumvent this.

His solution? He found the party, thought they were cool, stalked them, identified the weakest link, and replaced him. This way he can be friends with the party for a little bit until the curse is lifted, then dip.

It won't work. But boy is he trying.

No one even knows the dwarf's name. We just started calling him by the player name. Plus it's a bunch of new players so I've even been dropping foreshadowing and they have no clue.

Best part is my dad's a player and he knows, so I have an audience for all my jokes where I "commune with my god" [imp familiar does some spying] or I suggest someone is a doppelganger.

I made two sparkle fairy vampires for a Tomb of Horrors one-shot. Only played Honey because 20th level paladins are impossible to kill lmao

Canonical ending, we got stuck at that sword door puzzle and left with nothing. Dm let us through and we "finished" the dungeon without doing the lich fight because it was like 3am

She walked into one of the mists and lost all her stuff. Luckily, being small, she could steal a sleeve off a party member lol

I definitely overthought this revenge and that made it A Struggle. Loved the idea of a marionette strumming his own strings. But that is a difficult vision.
