ROTH aus Berlin verschenkt sein Stück “Howard”

Der in Berlin lebende Christian Rothas aka ROTH publizierte unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen schon diverse Musikveröffentlichungen. Der DJ und Produzent ist bereits seit geraumer Zeit als Ghostproducer im Bereich Deep-House tätig. Nun kreierte er unter seinem Alias ROTH den Track “Howard”, den er via trndmusik als freien Download anbietet. Wir sprachen mit dem Musiker, der gebürtig aus Baden-Württemberg stammt, über das Werk und sein Dasein als Ghostproducer.

trndmusik: “Howard” heisst Dein neuer Track. Hast Du die Nummer extra nach dem Produzenten des Cover-Tracks betitelt? Und was faszinierte Dich an dem Werk so sehr?

ROTH: Mein neuer Track ist eine tanzbare House-Version von Kiezsas Stück “Hideaway”. Ben Howard hat davon ein Cover gesungen. Als ein guter Freund mir das Video zeigte, war ich fasziniert von seiner Stimme und habe noch am selben Abend angefangen, daran zu arbeiten.

trndmusik: Wie und wo ist Deine Version entstanden?

ROTH: Meine Version ist in Mannheim im Studio entstanden und danach habe ich den Track in Berlin fertiggestellt.

trndmusik: Wieso bietest Du sie als freien Download an?

ROTH: Ich möchte meine Musik teilweise umsonst anbieten, um sie mehr Personen zugänglich zu machen.

trndmusik: Du bist seit geraumer Zeit als Ghostproducer tätig. Wie viele Aufträge bekommst Du monatlich? Und was bereitet Dir an dieser Tätigkeit so viel Spaß?

ROTH: Zwischen zwei und drei etwa. Ich habe nie behauptet, dass es mir so viel Spaß bereitet. Nein, Spaß beiseite, es gibt einfach Künstler, die eine enorme Reichweite haben und es bereitet mir große Freude, zu sehen, wie gut meine Tracks hier teilweise ankommen.

trndmusik: Was steht demnächst bei Dir an? Kommen bald auch neue Produktion von Dir selbst raus?

ROTH: Ich habe die letzten zwei Jahre ganz schön viel produziert und fast drei Stunden Musik angehäuft. Momentan sind wir auf der Suche nach interessanten Labels für meine Tracks und den ein oder anderen habe ich bereits untergebracht – dazu bald mehr.

LIKE 004

Die LIKE004 ist das Werk von Robin Dietrich und Christian Rothas. Zwei Stuttgarter Newcomer, die in den nächsten Jahren noch einiges vorhaben.

Mayfield aka Robin Dietrich ist gebürtiger Stuttgarter und Mitbegründer des Kollektives LOVEiT. Dieses macht in letzter Zeit ordentlich Welle in Stuttgart und Umland. Nach seinem ersten Release auf dem spanischen Label “Hondras” kommt mit der LIKE004 nun sein 2. Release.

Roth ist das Deephouse Pseudonym Christian Rothas, Teil der Formation Farbenfroh. Der ebenfalls gebürtige Stuttgarter zog vor kurzem nach Berlin, nahe Samariterstraße, was seinem ersten Solorelease den Namen gibt.
