I adore post arcane Jayce sm but he’s so broken and tired. So cynical and mean. He goes from sunny, hopeful and bright with so many dreams and hopes to someone so worn down from the harshness of reality he becomes something that burns, harms over warms and welcomes.

He’s an asshole post arcane, in his league verse, does his best to keep people at an arms distance absolutely cause again, he’s so very used to being looked at only as an investment, someone who can procure results or products. Worst case he’s usually manipulated into situations he can’t win in so his go to default reaction is to be spiteful as hell but calculatingly petty if he feels it’s earned or justified. He’s also rarely been valued for himself as he is except by a small handful of people who seen behind his showmanship type of peacocking through the years.

A lot of what he does is done because he has to, because he has very little choice, so the few decisions he is allowed to make without any looming sway are usually coldly selfish.

And Blitzcrank knows this… and uses it as a ploy to get them together, get them talking. And Viktor knows Blitz is doing this, but he wants them to be happy, wants to humor them… so he goes along with it. And Jayce also knows, but he can’t wimp out, not when Viktor is giving it the effort, he can’t give Viktor the satisfaction of ‘being the bigger man.’
