Mal was a little irritated. She hated that she had to go back to living in the Lost Community. Sure, she could leave it at least, but she would rather have stayed out. Not to mention, she'd be living with her brothers again. She liked having more girls around.

She sighed as she finally had all of her things packed that was going back with her and she threw her bags onto the bed for when they were ready to leave. She heard a knock and glanced over to see her mom, giving her a small smile. Mal gave one back but it dropped pretty quickly, tucking her spell book further into her bag and zipping it up.

"Are we leaving?" Mal asked, ready to just get out of there. Lily shook her head and hummed. "No, I figured we could walk around a bit and you could show me around. It'd be nice to see where my daughter is living." She hummed, trying to joke around a bit. She hadn't seen Mal for awhile and wanted to spend a little bit of time with her.

Mal paused but nodded her head. "Yeah, sure. We can go walk around a bit." She smiled and lead her out, showing her around.

They hadn't interacted with many people on their walk, something Lilly expected as Mal didn't necessarily make friends easily. She almost asked if the girl had made any new friends when they heard Mal’s name being called. The purple haired girl turned in surprise, seeing Damian heading their way.

"Who is that?" Lilly asked, eyeing her daughter.

Mal blushed and crossed her arms. "Just..... some boy." She mumbled.

Mal shrugged a bit at the comment, trying to not seem as annoyed or as suspicious as she was sure that she looked. "Yeah well, magic can help with that. Easy to get night vision with it." She said coolly, tapping her temple close to her eye for affect.

She glanced back at the shop and shrugged. "Bunch of herbs and such that I'm interested in buying, though they don't have a ton of the ingredients that I've read about. I bet most of them don't even exist over here." She huffed, shaking her head as she thought about what she wanted to stock up on.

Mal turned quickly, hands behind her back as she attempted to hide her spell book. She hadn’t had time during the day to visit the shop, Roses Apothecary, and figured a little midnight raid of the shop would be the perfect chance. Obviously not.

“Yeah I know. Figured I’d browse the town and see what I can see from outside so I can be in and out tomorrow first thing.” She shrugged, lying through her teeth. “What are you doing out here so late?” She asked, tilting her head to the side to feign interest.

Mal rose an eyebrow as the girl stated who she was. It was odd, meeting someone who was a kid of a villain but lived outside because of their mother. "I actually asked you first so you answer." Mal murmured, rolling her eyes a bit. She was tired of running into people when she was out at night. She needed to find a spell for invisibility.

“Talking a midnight stroll along the beach?” (Mal)

“Ah, if it isn’t the feared Mal, Colette daughter of Belle and Rumplestilskin.” She gives a little cursty, not unlike her father when he does his little flurries. Blue eyes mischievous and curious as she stands and looks at Mal curiously. “To what do I owe this pleasure?”

Mal rose an eyebrow at him as he turned to her, hands delicately placed on her hips. She hadn't really expected anyone out there with her, not that deep into the woods. She nodded a bit as he introduced himself, tilting her head as her green eyes gazed at him, almost curious at why someone like him was out there.

"Mal. I'd say pleasure to meet you but I haven't decided that yet." She murmured, flicking some of her hair back behind her shoulder. "Why are you so far out in the woods? I thought I would be the only one out here."

“Oh you poor soul, wandering lost in the forest under the new moon…” (Mal)

He turns around and he’s floored by the girl with the gleaming green eyes and purple hair. He remembered when he was a kid, what his dad said about his mom. About how when he first saw her, he felt..something he’d never felt before. Something like butterflies..well the butterflies were dancing now. 

“Hi, I’m Damian, it’s nice to meet you uh sorry I uh I don’t think I got your name.” He says with an awkward chuckle.

Faith: I'm counting. Give me a sec-minute.

“This whole place! It’s full of people who just... just can’t keep their mouths shut. They all talk shit and you’d think they’d have all been raised better.” She laughed, though it wasn’t a joyful laugh, more of a sarcastic one.

“It hurts!! I am so beside myself with rage that my side hurts!” - Mal

“Why?” Conrad was concerned, but he made sure to look calm in front of his sister. “What happened?”

Mal smiled just slightly for a moment after Evie had turned back around. The girl had an attitude but it fit her quite well. “I’m sure you don’t.” She hummed, following behind her.

“Queen Elsa’s Ice Castle huh? Thought that place would have fallen when the rest of Arendelle cooled off.” She hummed. She didn’t know much about Arendelles history so it was no surprise that she was utterly clueless. “I take it that you’re showing it to me because it’s pretty?”

“It would seem you lack awareness of your surroundings.” (Mal)

“No. I wouldn’t be able to call myself a true Hood if I wasn’t aware of my surroundings.” Evie continued to trek through the trees. “My father lived in the woods and taught me everything he knows about survival, tracking, hunting.” She glanced back at Mal. “Are you sure you’re not the one who’s lacked awareness?” She teased.

“Considering you’re the one who almost shot me with an arrow at school and now am leading me through this snow covered forest for whatever reason, I definitely want to say that you’re the one who’s lacked awareness, Hood.” Mal hummed, though it wasn’t really all that terrible. She rather liked snow, a stark contrast to her normally hot body temperature self, and liked to be out in it. She sighed as she ducked under a branch.

“Where exactly are you leading me?”

“It would seem you lack awareness of your surroundings.” (Mal)

“I don’t need to be liked. I don’t care.” Mal said with a raised eyebrow. She never cared much for others opinion, unless they were her mothers or her brothers.

“Wow, mean words for a little princess.” Mal rolled her eyes. “Maybe just pay attention and you wouldn’t run into people.” She snapped. Who was this princess to say she was better than her? It just got Mals blood boiling.

Here I thought you were all full or rainbows and sunshine and niceness.” Mal said, ever present smirk never leaving her lips. “Does your mommy know you’re out here being unprincess like or is this a common thing for you?” She asked. Mal rolled her eyes when she mentioned her hair. “Atleast my hair fits my look and looks good. You might need to go get a touch up, or just dye your hair completely for it to look right.”

Mal sneered as she looked around. Everything was different and she wasn’t the biggest fan. Everyone was loud and talked way too much for her liking and she couldn’t find her friends anywhere. She needed to get away from the ‘happier’ people that she encountered.

Sneaking away from the campus and into the forest, she let out a much needed breath. She was only there a short time and she was already ready to leave or at least find her own place for peace and quiet. 

She got pretty far in, finally feeling more at peace with herself and clutched her mothers book to her chest, when she felt an arrow narrowly graze by her head. 

“Whoa! Watch where you aim that thing!” She exclaimed, turning to find the source of the arrow and glaring at them, her eyes a bright green. It was a girl, a rather pretty one, but that didn’t shake Mals glare or the feeling that the arrow whizzing by her head had given her.
