I have this issue where I will switch fandom 3 months and get frustrated at myself for not being able to stay in the zone.

It's like a fucking situationship.

"Which events are you talking about?" A voice replied, cold, distant. The concept of time is boundless and endless. It needs specifics to define what the other wishes from it.

"Betraying me. The kingdom. Everything." The answer came, finally, after a moment of silence.

"Would it satisfy you if I lied?"

No response. Silence.

"Then no. I never did. Humans are confusing. To be one, I must understand how you think. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen one who truly thinks."

"You’re so cruel." A muffled sob followed the words. It turned to see the damage it had caused.

"Is my response not to your liking, Pharaoh?" it asked again.

"It’s as expected," he replied, laughing through his tears.

At some point, Yugi and Yami had a big fight and it resulted with Yugi smashing the millennium puzzle. Since, Yami always guarded it carefully, it would be safe so he didn't fully anticipate his 'partner' would be one of those people. Unconsciously, Yami trusted Yugi to keep it safe for only it to broken.

The conflict itself was petty, Yami said the wrong thing and Yugi acted on it. Yami is all about talk, disliking Yugi for not knowing the consequences of his actions in completing the puzzle.

"If my presence is such a bother to you. Your highness, then you should go back where you belong."

The consequences that followed after he smashed the puzzle, wasn't the prettiest sight yugi wish to lay his eyes on. It was pure torture. Just like the puzzle, Yami's body crumbled like it was dismembered pieces of a broken puzzle. No blood in sight, but it was terrifying all the same.

Yugi, quickly tries to undo the sin he had committed. Yami was in pain. He needs to act fast. The child, didn't think it would bring pain upon the deity, it always had been untouchable yet what lays in front of him is a sight.. he never could dream of— well, he doesn't need to dream anymore when he had committed the deed. He had hurt him.

Yugi finished the puzzle. Yami flinched against his touch. Yami yelled. Yugi tried to apologise. Yami disappears out of his sight with the puzzle alongside him.

A month has passed. Silent is the only one that greets him in his room.

hi I have some questions about pendant au! I don’t understand why is Yugi scared of Yami? And then you also draw Yami scared of Yugi. Or is that not the same au? What’s the nature of their relationship exactly? Like is the goal for them to get together or are they already together and it’s a toxic dynamic or are they not supposed to even be romantic in this au? Ty c:

Yugi is not actually scared of Yami or if he is creeped out of him, he was just put off by his existence since Yami's existence feels like it came out of a corny Wattpad novel, the demon x y/n type of shit. He thought all the childish stories his grandpa told him were just stories, until Yami came around. His scared expression is just a natural human response to the situation.

Yugi is a freak and enjoyed the life threatening situation.

To answer, Yami is scared of Yugi question.. Yami is not scared? I don't think I ever drew Yami sacred of Yugi for pendant, he always being the one to taunt Yugi till his breaking point. He could kill Yugi if he wants and already tried it multiple times, but he scratches that idea and sees yugi as a source of entertainment.

The nature of their relationship— like I have stated multiple times are quite complicated so I never label their relationship as romantic or platonic here, just benefits. They aren't together by choice but circumstances make them depend on each other, so toxic would be the fitting word or co-dependent.
