Activity 13: Development Communication Myths
I agree with the statement that "development process is a communication process." We can say that in a development process of every thing, communication itself takes place. Every development comes in process or methods that gives symbols to the person achieving the goal. We cannot totally say that an object or a project has development if we didn't see any signs of progress within the process. And this fact opposes the statement in Myth number 2 that development process means communication media  or materials. In that matter, we're giving out the essence of a process between the development and the output itself. Development communication does not only refer to the media and the materials that was achieved to deliver the communication successfully.

Interest/positive impacts: Compliance with policy
Activity 12.2
System is Defined - upon persistent lobbying froma a consumers group, Broadcast and print ads did not agree to produce the Tobacco ads
Sensitivity Analysis - Major consumers group have bonded together for a policy that will let them to produce a advertising of tobacco in tv and in print ads
Likelihood of the occurence of the elements/events stated in probabilistic terms - Tobacco Industry will likely exert influence to resist the measures
Activity 12.3
Despite reductions in tobacco usage, the GATS report shows that nearly a quarter of all Filipinos continued to use tobacco.
Prohibiting tobacco advertisement in radio and television is crucial. Since tobacco use is more prevalent in the rural areas, stringent efforts must be taken to implement a policy that would prohibit advertisements via radio. Major consumer groups must also team up with NGOs, medical professionals, and researchers to ensure factual reporting of the health hazards caused by smoking to legislators,
Consumer should also collaborate with legislators for a transparent.. This will compensate any perceived or accrued losses from tobacco advertising, and counteract whatever political and financial clout the tobacco manufacturers may have.

ACTIVITY 3 - Development
- Due to it’s time to get our of their shells and the Chick inside need to get some air inorder to survive
- from the chick inside the shell
- Yes. The right time for the chick to break the eggshell if the chick already complete the 21 days.
- It may cause failure or death for the chick.
- I learn about this activity is there’s a time for you to shine. Don’t pressure yourself. If you pressure yourself bad things may happen, disapointment
- it may inform us on how to manage properly the Egg hatching process. Since the egg/chicken is a big part of our needs.
- Pepito’s action is not good for the Pupa, According to the story he use Scissors to break the Pupa. And he did not listen to Mang Thomas that no matter what happen don’t anything in pupa case.
- I see that Pepito can change the lives of others but in the negative way cause each one of us have a time to shine we need to experience first the struggles in life inorder to achieve happiness, succesful in life. Since Pepito see the pupa suffer and he easily help it out but it’s a process which we need to experience first inorder to survive. there’s no shortcut in achieving success
- Since this topic is normal nowadays especially in rural areas wherein a lot of farmers suffers from small profit on their harvest. That’s why a lot of development workers help the farmers but that kind of help had a positive and negative effect to the farmers. And in the long run it’s not good to the farmer cause those development workers steal the job of the farmer. How will the farmer survive his life knowing that his/her number one source of income steal by the dev. workers. So they removing the rights of farmers to their job.
- The purpose of struggle in our life is to see what our weaknesses in life inoder to achieve our goal we need to suffer we need to struggle first because life is full of challenges wherein it’s a part of success.
- Sustainable Development
- In the first place Mang Thomas is the one who is responsible for this pupa Case but he easily trust Pepito to take care the Pupa Case and he never forget to remind Pepito the process, on what to do in that Pupa Case and the result of that. That Scenarios could be avoided if we care about our decisions and who to trust cause not all of us are good in listening. If Mang Tomas had a chance to discuss the process of pupa therefore that mistake will not happen.

Assign#1 : The Inequality
As a human I experience inequality especially when you grow up in urban areas like Metro Manila. Based on the article of UN ( United Nation), one of the inequalities that we have now is when it comes to income. Philippines is one of the developing countries in Asia but we know that there are a lot of corrupt leaders here, especially in our government.
The UN presented a Goal with 10 targets, I chose 10.4 Adopt policies, especially fiscal, wage and social protection policies, and progressively achieve greater equality because for me, this goal is applicable here in the Philippines. We know that a lot of us are experiencing inequality especially at work, like a lot of us suffer from small minimum wage. That minimum wage can’t even support if you have a big family. You'll work hard,  you extend a lot of time on your job but still the minimum wage or salary is not worth it to feed your family or to buy your wants. I chose this goal because I can see that Philippines can adopt some culture or laws from other country. Laws that can somehow, teach the Filipinos to become more independent individuals and a good and efficient citizen to its country.  I’m happy to see that nowadays, there are so many online sellers who sell any item in order to earn some cash for their necessities. In addition, I saw an information from one of the presedential candidate, Ka Leody De Guzman who has plans to upgrade the minimum wage of the Filipino workers. I think that idea will be successful if that law can be passed in the government.
Another example of inequality that is very relevant in our time is the bullying. When I was in my 1st year High School I experienced inequality because I studied in private Catholic school wherein most of my classmates are in the higher class. That time they love to brag their new shoes, bags, and other stuff   being an arrogant. but that time I knew to myself that I’m not matured enough to understand those events in my life, to brag their stuff because they are proud of it. I am also a victim of bullying before. During my elementary days in the same school, some of my classmates tend to tease me because of my personality. I also remember one of my classmates wherein his parent was a teacher in that same school so he grabbed the oppurtunity to bully, not just me but my other classmates too. He says foul words to me, always hits me with his towel and punched my arms several times. This kind of inequality happens most of the time inside the school.
In conclusion, the goal that I chose is applicable to our country because it can serve as a solution to the most relevant problems in our country.
