I think Arson was more excited for this event than I was. He absolutely brought his A game and we ended up scoring 5th overall in the intermediate levels! Lots of treats are in order and we'll be heading home for some much deserved rest and cuddles soon.

Arson and I have been working hard to get back into shape, and it's time for the equestrian festival's three-day-event! They ask people to arrive a day or two early for vet checks and whatnot, so I'll be exploring the festival grounds at Jorvik Stables while we wait! We'll be participating in the intermediate level events in the next few days.

had no internet for the last few days but you know what I did have? a bunch of screenshots and the ability to play the sims. and then this happened. south hoof farm in the sims!! I started this like two weeks ago and got the shells of the buildings done and then in the last three days I just hammered the entire thing out and finished it. autism moment or smth idk

unlike my moorland stables build, I did take some creative liberties, mainly because even on the largest sims lot size I still had some trouble squeezing everything in, but I LOVE how it turned out

Buttercup's lease with her old leaser ended on Wednesday, which meant I was able to bring her home, which in turn means I can finally introduce my new project horse! This is Buttercup, a 15.3 hand belgian warmblood cross mare. She's nine years old, but still quite green. The story as I've been told goes that she was started under saddle at five, but when she was learning to jump she had a nasty leg injury and was out of work for almost a year and a half- partly to heal, and partly because her owners weren't willing to retrain her.

I so desperately need SSE to take like three months off from making new major updates or new horses or new tack to just focus on bug fixes and retrofitting. please for the love of god we don't need new horses every three months when ones released last year can't even wear the newest tack

Now that spring is rapidly closing in on Jorvik, Arson and I are getting back into work for the year. Every spring, Jorvik holds an equestrian festival, including two separate three-day events at Jorvik Stables- the invitational and sign-up. Obviously I'm nowhere near advanced enough to get into the invitational, but thanks to refreshing a webpage more times that I'm willing to admit we were able to get into the intermediate level sign-up event, so we'll be training hard for that for the next month!

I've been out and about a lot in the last month trying potential project horses around Jorvik! These four were the greatest contenders- Romeo, an appaloosa gelding, Buttercup, a warmblood cross mare, Witch, an american paint horse mare, and Hummingbird, a tennesse walker colt. One of them will be coming home with me sometime this month- as soon as their old lease expires.

Happy Valentine's Day! It's been progressively warming up in Jorvik, but the snow is still hanging on, so I took Arson for a ride through the village to enjoy the weather.

We've officially survived the coldest and darkest weeks in Jorvik, though we have a few more weeks of snow before it melts off. Because it's been warming up, I was able to take Ember for a ride in the arena today and even go over a few crossrails.

Question for y'all with OCs whose story (for the most part) align with the player character, for what reason did your character come to Jorvik? If for the riding camp, why did they randomly travel to a remote island (assuming they had no prior connection to Jorvik)? Or did they arrive for a different reason?
