"Have you found a favourite dish so far? In the vegetarian choices I mean?" Rowan asked, curious as to what it was the woman found herself drawn to.
"I don't know if it's quite a past time but I am enjoying it for the moment," Pippa replied and nodded, "Thank you. That' very helpful. I'm not vegetarian either but I do like vegetarian dishes."

Rowan reached out and gave the others shoulder a squeeze. He knew how difficult things like this could be even if it didn't seem that way to most. "That's more than a lot of people you know. And trying... well I'm there too in that respect." Just because they'd gone through perhaps what people saw as the hardest part, didn't mean there wasn't a daily struggle. "I'd like it if we could though. Go for it I mean. I think I'd enjoy it. Provided there is no interference from the outside."
"I'm trying," he shrugged as though it wasn't a big deal. "I won't pretend like I'm not craving a drink the whole time we've been here but... I'm trying." Jesse certainly didn't think he'd ever truly be able to quit cold turkey, but trying to minimize his intake was something he'd been trying to do ever since he'd been threatened with having to go back to rehab if things got worse again. "Yeah I mean... why not? We've been um-ing and ah-ing over it for some time now. Maybe we should rip off the bandaid and just go for it."

The topic of his father always made him squirm a little even if it wasn't obvious to anyone outside of perhaps his bandmates. "I am sure I can text him to tell him to contact your father." He offered up, not wanting to completely shoot down the request, but equally, Rowan really didn't want to have to speak to much to the man if he could help it. It always ended back on the topic of how his band was going... though never so simple a conversation.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think we need to organise a play-date for our father's." Erin sighed. "My Ma told me that if mine keeps playing his old solo's on repeat she's going to hex him into next week, so it's for his own safety, really."

"That was exactly the opposite of my intentions. You must have a lot on your mind." Rowan assumed from the fact she hadn't noticed him sooner. Normally Cleo was very astute. "Not a problem though. Are you okay?"

Cleo jumped lightly when she felt a hand on her, turning to look at the person behind her. "Oh sorry, you scared me," she said to Rowan. "I figured you'd already be here. I am so sorry I'm late."

"That must be difficult. To be so used to having them around but not having one of your own." He mused, fussing over the creature a little. "No, no pets of my own. Honestly, I'm probably just about able to take care of myself so I'm not sure it'd be wise, especially with all the travelling I do with the guys. Though I've heard that dogs can make good emotional support animals."
"Not any of my own but my uncle did so I grew up around them," Gabriel explained. "I work a lot so it's probably for the best I don't have one. But maybe some day," he considered with a shrug. "How about you? Have you got any pets of your own or do you just take care of those belonging to your friends?"

"Naivety isn't the worst thing in the world." He saw it as someone still having a childlike wonder to them. Rowan felt like most adults lost that as they aged. "I think that your outlook makes you one of the best types of people to be around too. You will bring people up rather than knocking them down."
"It's unfortunately how the world is sometimes. And despite that, I still try to see the good in it. Perhaps to a naive degree but I prefer being this way than a total cynic," Samantha admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. "Definitely. And that's not a great way to live."

To Rowan's mind, next time meant that he hadn't put her off enough that she didn't want to spend time with him in the future and she seemed like a good person to have around. He was never going to turn down good people in his life. "Not at all, it's nice to have someone to share it with. I tend to keep my circle close."
"Uhm– yeah, maybe some other time," she stalled lightly, appreciating how he'd given her a way out and hadn't pressured her to give him an answer. "Thank you for showing me this place though. It's really nice."

"Rediscovering old comfort foods... that actually sounds like quite an enjoyable pastime." It was always interesting to remember old dishes you hadn't eaten since being at school or bars of chocolate that had long since been discontinued. "I like the vegetarian ones generally. I'm not a vegetarian but it is what I veer towards."
Pippa stopped, finally noticing the other when he questioned what she was doing, "I'm rediscovering old comfort foods and deciding which pizza is my favourite. I need inspiration. Have you got a favourite?"

"Is there anything I can do to help with that?" Rowan asked after a moment, wanting to try and at least find out if he could support in some way. There was no way he'd make her handle everything alone if he could do something about it.
"The holidays are always stressful, between work and just our families, I don't think I'll sleep until after New Year's is over."

"I think sometimes in this line of work, things get so busy, we forget stuff like that. It stops us from really taking care of ourselves too." Rowan murmured, knowing they were both guilty of that. "Yeah... we did. I think that says a lot about the care we got though, or lack of it. It's not okay to have put us in that position as kids. I do think that it might be good to go back to what made us start it all."
"You're right," he replied without even having to give it a second thought. "You're absolutely right. They're not the only thing that's important." Jesse chewed the inside of his cheek briefly. "Besides, it feels like all of us lost our ways in some way or another when we really blew up. Maybe... maybe taking a few steps back to where we started is what we've needed as a group. Maybe going back to our roots would be good for us."

"No, I'm just less adept at handling it so I'd rather you didn't encourage attention whilst I'm around." He'd gotten good at flying under the radar but sometimes if errant fans noticed him it had the effect of really causing a crowd. "I suspect since they included you though."
"And is that a crime? Liking attention?" he questioned with a smirk when the other had pointed out that he appeared like the type to enjoy it. "Besides, since when did liking attention and being capable of subtly become mutually exclusive?"

"That seems just about how everyone in there is handling it right now." Because the sober ones of them appeared to be few and far between. "I'm glad you are startling sober with me for it though. It's easier to handle than when you do it alone." From experience anyway. "And yeah, maybe. You up for it?"
"This is too true," he grumbled softly, relieved to be washed over with the feeling of being outside. The stuffiness and compressed bodies were something he was more than happy to be free of. "Honestly? I forgot just how much alcohol does the trick for these sorts of things. That whole crowd would've been so much easier to navigate if I was drunk out of my mind," Jesse reviewed. "So yeah I agree, being on stage for these sorts of things is far preferable. Maybe that's motivation as any to get us back up there," he snorted.

"Do you? I'm curious." Especially given he'd been the one to take her last time. Would it be the same place or would it be somewhere completely different? The latter seemed to be the case from the way she'd responded but either way he didn't mind. He found he enjoyed Andie's company. There was no expectation or judgement there. She put him at ease. "Were you already planning to go for food?" Given he doubted she would have been out there looking for him.
"It does, doesn't it?" she considered with a gentle smile of her own. When Rowan seemed open to the idea of food, her smile grew ever so slightly. "Fantastic. Let's go then, I have a place in mind."

❄️ - our muses get some fresh air from the celebrations together
"This is much easier to handle when we're performing." Maybe because there was a barrier which people couldn't cross. But it's nice to be able to ring in the New Year with everyone." Rowan admitted with a little smile, thinking about his friends. "How are you coping with it all?" He asked with soft consideration.

"That seems to happen regularly with us... at least from our previous interactions." Rowan responded with a warm smile as the familiar face appeared beside him. He'd had some drink but it was quickly diminishing his social battery. Rowan did seem to perk at the mention of food however. "I could eat."
❄️ - our muses get some fresh air from the celebrations together
"Seems we had the same thought," Andie chuckled lightly as she spotted the other outside when she'd stepped out to get a break from everything. "How are you?" she asked, getting an idea in real time. "Any chance you're a bit peckish?"
