"Last time I checked it wasn't my birthday so what have I done to deserve this?" Nathaniel couldn't help but question when the piece of cake was handed over to him with no explanation at all.

"Pepper? You do realise that I don't come to find you just to ask where Pep is right? Besides, I have her number if I wanted to get hold of her. I know how to track that blondie down." He spoke with laughed affection. "No, I came to see if you wanted to go out for a little while? Figured there is a nice live band on in one of the restaurants and they do really good food."

"Have you found a favourite dish so far? In the vegetarian choices I mean?" Rowan asked, curious as to what it was the woman found herself drawn to.
"I don't know if it's quite a past time but I am enjoying it for the moment," Pippa replied and nodded, "Thank you. That' very helpful. I'm not vegetarian either but I do like vegetarian dishes."

Don’t tell me lies, is the last person you texted attractive?
The last person I texted was my sister, so I am going to say hard nope. She is objectively pretty but she is, you know, my sister. @prewittfuckingknewit

"I reckon if it had any powerful, dark magic in it, we'd know by now," Pippa pointed out, "I'll make sure to categorise it properly later."

Allan needed some air, the wedding had been beautiful and of course by request of the Matthews, he made his appearance. But now he needed some air. He started to undo the tie, at this point he felt like he couldn’t breathe almost like he was having an anxiety attack or something. Fuck. He had to pull himself together, and put his face back on and go back in there. But he couldn’t. Not yet. At this point he felt like everything was fake, his marriage, him being the mayor and everything that went with that. Fuck. He just needed to breathe and this fucking tie wasn’t helping at all.

Lola glanced at her reflection in the mirror. It was another day on the island. In spite of the dark holes under her eyes, something that might serve as an attest that she wasn’t as well as she claimed, however, Lola refused to let that represent her. She took a deep breath in and plastered a smile on her face, thankful for another day. She stepped out her room, closing the door behind her, and began walking to the cafeteria. On her way there, her path crossed with someone she hadn’t yet seen there, but she only spotted the person briefly. “Pippa?” She called out, wondering whether she had actually seen the girl or her tired mind was playing tricks with her.

Peter: [showing the members a text from Pippa]
Pippa's text: At Airport! Tell the members I said bye! Love you all to the moon and back, you guys are the best. Bust a nut!
Peter: I'm not sure she knows what that means.

No, he said “Call me.” I guess literally getting flung at him reminded him of your flirting style.
Or it could have reminded him of your complete lack of coordination and sexuality? The jury is still out on that one.

Normally, Donovan would have taken the bus home. After his time at the animal clinic, he was looking forward to a day alone with himself and his thoughts. Maybe tonight he’d wait until after five to drink himself into a pulp, puffing smoke out like a chimney outside his apartment window. A quiet sigh exhaled from his lips at the thought, contented with his plans. Turning the corner where his block was, his hands found their way into his pockets, the familiar feeling of his lighter brushing against the calloused fingers.
Spirit wasn’t helping him, everything he did seemed to call to his element. To judge character of his clients, he read their auras. To hold conversations, he read minds to anticipate what to say next. Hell, he would use compulsion to keep angry people away from him. Each use teared life from him, life it seemed he couldn’t gain back. Before he could light up, the abnormally long screech of a car horn made him glance up. What happened next made his stomach knot.
A head on collision happened before his eyes, both cars smashing into each other as airbags deployed. As a New Yorker he looked away, immediately picking up his pace to evade any trouble. But as he did, the cars skittered near him, stopping feet away from him. It wasn’t until he heard sobbing that he stopped, hearing honing onto the cry. Crushing the cigarette in his hand, he slid his lighter into his pocket. Donovan was going to regret it, he knew it, but he would help.

“underwater.” she replied with a nod. “the sea levels kept rising so they needed to relocate the school before the island was completely submerged.” she then went out to explain about the barrier and how it was warded to keep out marine life but that students could apparate or use portkeys to get inside. “they have no floos though .. for obvious reasons.” she laughed at that. “when we were there, one of the tour guides said that the barrier failed once.” expecting a horrified expression in her wake, she quickly added, “…not to break the airtight seal. merlin, no. a sword fish got through the barrier one day and knocked out a group of third years. they were fine but i guess it’s a funny story they always ltell to people who come to visit.”
She listened with a fascinated poker face as she tried not to disclose how naive she felt, never having heard of this place or anything quite like it, “Sword fish? My lord how did they break through magic? They sound like an extremely powerful kind of fish. How long has this school even been runnin’?” she inquired, “Magic like that to sustain a whole campus sounds quite extreme.. Why didn’t they just relocate?” She pursed her lips, “S’rry, I’m sure these aren’t the kinds of questions you would know the answer to, but your travels sound quite fascinating.”
