I decided to leave the dead humans as blacked out silhouettes, because when I tried to render them, it didn't fit with the rest of the piece. (It also leaves any potential gore up to the imagination, so viewers of the painting can think the most horrifying thing they can come up with)

I can't remember where I saw it, I think it was Clayface from Batman, but I distinctly remember seeing a show where a person was drowned with clay/mud/dough. It was shoved down their throat in a torrent and the choking sounds they made were awful. They didn't do anything over the top like explode they just... drowned. Horribly.

(not really a question sorry, more an examination of how strong and ruthless Doey can be)

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful stuff (genuine!!!) That definitely sounds like Clayface, he was ruthless in the animated shows. Everyone on here is so lucky I am incapable of drawing things that are genuinely scary or threatening or intimidating (trust me TwT I’ve tried) because the angst I could draw OOOGH just imagining it

When Doey goes on that killing spree after Bella and Lucas die it is ruthless, genuinely ruthless. He is desperate to feel in control, to feel powerful, and to make these people cower and be scared in the way he has both felt and seen his friends feel. Violent thoughts and dreams are normal for everyone, but they lived in an environment of violence which used violence to keep people in line, the killing barely even feels real as he is doing it.

It doesn���t make him feel better, he can’t even hold the remains of his friends without sullying them with blood. In the time he spent rampaging the lower levels have been properly locked down (these measures break down pretty quickly with no one to maintain them, but it is the reason Doey never made a run for it before Safe Haven was established) and he entirely squandered any chance to escape. He couldn’t even live for his friends who died because he was too busy crushing everything in sight. He didn’t try and keep doors open for toys to escape out of, didn’t help other smaller toys who were suffering the same fate as Bella and Lucas during the chaos, didn’t even consider the kids just a level up, the ones who hadn’t been hurt like they he had.

Hey guys!

I'm really sorry for my absence in these past few weeks/months, and for taking so long with the next chapter. I wanted to avoid talking about it for the best of my abilities but I figured sharing some details would be better in the long run.

Since last year, my home life situation has significantly worsened. My physical safety is not being threatened, mind you, and I'm not starving or anything like that, but this is not a healthy environment. Stress is taking a ton of my body to the point I'm constantly at the brink of exhaustion, and living in constant fear is. Not very nice, actually! It's very very bad!

Although making the Poppy Worldwide/Save Everyone AU helped me calm down a lot (thank you everyone for being here, btw!), I am still unemployed as of making this post, and I need money to leave AND buy my meds. As I try to find a job, I'll have to end up going back to promoting my writing and art commissions, which I had stopped thanks to my exhaustion, so I may have enough money to leave the fuck out of this house, so expect some upgraded sheets for both soon enough.

-Backstory: Brought into Playcare at 13 years old, with poor mental health. After recovering for 2 years, they became a lot more outgoing. ****** was very touch-starved, and loved hugs. Selected for the Bigger Bodies Initiative a couple months before their 16th birthday. Post operation, they lost a lot of memories due to the severe trauma.

Rox was used to play music for kids parties throughout the factory. People would often press the buttons and knobs on their collar to adjust the volume, without permission. As Rox didn't have a voice box, the music played on their radio was their only means of communication, so when people did that, it took away a lot of their agency. They also had to deal with being touched without permission by kids who thought they were a regular toy, and scientists who poked and prodded.

Now Rox is averse to most touch, and their sanity is questionable due to their severe decline post-op. They will not attack employees, but they don't allow employees to approach either. They can be found on any level of the factory, often keeping away from other toys, or raiding the vending machines and dumpsters.
