The "KrisxRalsei ship is inc/est" argument is so fucking stupid on a number of levels because:

1) there is zero proof or hints that Ralsei and Asriel are the same person. "But the names-" mean absolutely fuck all. It could just be a fun little easter egg Toby wanted to add in. It could be Toby fucking with us. It could be that Toby just likes anagrams. Ralsei doesn't even look like asriel beyond them both being goats. There's no reason to actually think Ralsei is Asriel. As of right now, as far as we are aware, the two are completely separate people.

2) Even IF Ralsei was another world's version of asriel, he's still not the same Asriel that Kris grew up with.

3) Kris, Asriel and Ralsei are not related! Kris is adopted and Kris and Ralsei did not grow up together nor were they raised by the same parents so there's zero reason for the two to view eachother as siblings.

4) if Ralsei was the same person as Asriel, don't you think... MAYBE Kris would recognize him and mention it??? HMMM???

5) They literally go on a swan boat ride(classic romantic symbol) into an Acid TUNNEL OF LOVE (the actual name of the song that plays in that scene), where they then talk about how much they like eachother/like being alone together and Ralsei gets flustered and blushes when they share a hug. If Toby were setting them up to be siblings why in God's name would any of that scene happen???

Unless it is actually confirmed in game that Ralsei IS Asriel, fuck off. I'm not letting a sweet wholesome ship be ruined by people who can't differentiate between theory and fact.

If ch.5 is the festival… I imagine Ralsei’ll get jealous bc he can’t join us. And since ch.5 is hinted (more like told) to involve Asgore and him burning a field of flowers in jealousy…

I think Ch 5's Dark World will likely be in Asgore's Flower shop imo. (Or maybe there will be lots of plants at the festival & Asgore will be there, at least)

Asgore was brought back into the plot a bit in Ch 4 and we see direct mention of him in the Prophecy, and he is most associated with 'gardens,' it all points to his increased relevence in Ch 5.

(Burning jealousy may be relevant in multiple ways, including possibly Asgore jealous of Sans lol)

Could be wrong, the 'garden' and 'field' could be more metaphorical than literal, but I def feel the time has come to learn more about Asgore's deal in this story; and a plant-themed Dark World really makes sense with him

The Forgotten Man's hints in Ch 3 say "On Sunday, I harvest the wheat" which reinforces a plant theme

EDITED TO ADD:

As someone else very smartly pointed out, the room we cannot access in Asgore's garden shop has double-doors, which is always how we've entered Dark Worlds I believe (the computer lab in the library was literally changed to have double-doors, in fact, when it used to be a single door). And just in general is obviously foreshadowing, we're gonna go into that room eventually, sure seems like Chapter 5 is the time for that.

The amount of bile, hate, and rage I've witnessed in fandom directed at people who prefer Ralsei's Ch 1 design is kind of wild.

I can certainly understand being annoyed if you run into people who are constantly complaining about hatless Ralsei. I, too, would find that tiresome. But assuming every single person who happens to really love his Ch 1 design is a whiny asshole is not cool.

Some of us love Ralsei, enjoy his character, and just happen to prefer the original design. Yes, I am aware it was never intended to be a design that went beyond Ch 1. I can still find it adorable. I can still love the idea of a little void creature/dustbunny/jumping spider-esque boy. It can really be just that simple.

I'm allowed to like stuff, and I'm allowed to have a preference. I don't go around constantly complaining about it, I very rarely speak of it at all, and never in a whingey context. So maybe stop putting out literal death-threats to fans who enjoy Hat Ralsei. It's . . . weird to do that. Maybe try to chill a bit. Fandom is just a sandbox for having fun with our little guys, and if that's the toy I wanna play with, let's not throw a tantrum over it?

I am bringing this up 'cause I have some headcanons about Ralsei's appearance and wrote a little ficlet, but considering how hostile fandom can be, not sure if I should bother posting.

I may anyway, I suppose. I'm kind of used to being in the minority, after all. I've loved his character since the very start, when most of fandom decided Ralsei was 'obviously evil.' Very pleased to see him continue to grow and evolve in the latest chapters and I'm hopeful there will be fewer Ralsei haters these days.

But also hopeful people will be less hostile in general in the fandom. I dunno if you've noticed but life is really rough for a lot of us right now. It'd be cool if we all tried to be a bit kinder to each other. Whether we prefer black or white.

Or whatever other random AUs, headcanons or stuff we enjoy.

Heyo! Just opened a couple of slots for pokemon ko-fi doodles again! 😊

I'm thinking of switching the way I line & color the doodles so they'll look slightly different from the previous ones I've done before (might go for soft shading instead of the white highlights I used to add)
