jetta & roxy have a youtube channel where they play covers together but like, do the thing where they just get, like, some of clash’s fanart for the video img rather than having live video

usually they just do instrumental covers, but sometimes roxy sings along

and on all of those videos, they get at least 20 different people going “OMG you sound just like pizzazz from the misfits!! you should do a misfits cover!!!!!”

roxy gets so annoyed by that that she finally posts a video thats like 8 minutes of her just going “STOP ASKING ME TO DO MISFITS COVERS, STOP SAYING I SOUND LIKE PIZZAZZ” while jettas like ‘lmfao’ in the background

Ah, drat! So much for that great ploy. “Well, Madam Roxy, I do believe I explained in detail the nature of my methodology during our initial meeting. I had mentioned that the fundamental interconnectedness is a most thorough form of investigation and with anything so thorough, it takes time.”

That was a good explanation, he decided, a succinct yet accurate-ish one. Perhaps if he spoke with enough conviction, he would be able to distract her from the unfortunate pekingese incident (which still wasn’t his fault, since ninety percent of his clients happened to be owners of pets it had been an easy mistake to make).

“Listen, if tracking down someone’s secret identity were so simple, then everyone would be doing it! That being said, have you considered a séance? Before you slam the phone down, hear me out, this pek– er– Jem is a tough one to identify. We only have a stage persona to go off of so it might be worth our while to get some help in the matter.” It was all pure rubbish, of course, but he needed to come up with some solution to their predicament.

“Yeah, but I thought it was gonna take maybe a couple weeks, tops!”  Patience was a virtue that Roxy lacked  “How hard can it be?  She’s everywhere.  Surely you got something by now!”

Roxy exhaled loudly, angrily, closing her eyes and counting to four (she was far too angry to make it to ten), just long enough to keep from screaming into the phone again.  Besides, she’d already done that and it hadn’t done a thing. “A séance.”  That was probably one of the stupidest ideas she’d ever heard in her entire life, and that was impressive.  Yet, for some reason, she didn’t hang up right there and then.  Maybe that was it, maybe that idea was just ridiculous enough to actually work.  

“You got two minutes to really sell it to me.  Otherwise...”  She let the threat hang . She always found it more effective to let the other person’s imagination run wild.
