I like the idea that Ed realizes Mustang and Hawkeye are in love but can't figure out why they don't just get married already and he's decided it's because Mustang is an idiot. He doesn't know the full extent of their traumatic past and he doesn't give a fuck about authority so anti-fraternization laws would mean nothing to him. But he does think Mustang is almost too stupid to live so the only logical conclusion is that Mustang is just, like, terrible at romance. So Ed and Al make it their mission to get them together, parent trap style. They invite Mustang and Hawkeye individually to discuss *important information relating to national safety* or something and when they show up there's a romantic dinner set for two and Zampano is playing the violin in the corner.

Still obsessed with Mustang in the ending of Brotherhood/manga, even though I like the ending of 03 better.

I do prefer the manga to Brotherhood, of course, but I can't help loving this little scene they added in the hospital. So many of my fics stem from this 😅
