Staaaareeee.... Being left out of his conversation from there on out. Kasumi stared at her senior with a disgruntled look knowing she couldn’t refuse his request of fried chicken and a bonus round of ice cream. “Haaa~ I suppose that’s something we could go and do.” Re-diverting her attention, Kasumi wore a bright smile. “As long as you’re feeling happy! I’ll go anywhere!” That being because she looked up to her seniors so much.

“YUUUZUURU! Are you reaaady?” Kasumi was ready to hit the beach with everyone now that it was summer! Ahh... it made her want to bring out her guitar and start playing one of her songs. “I could use help with sunsc--” Bursting into his room without much notice due to being overly excitable, Kasumi shrieked when she saw his shirt hiked up some. “UWAH! A-Ah.... D-Did I come at a bad time?” Her face was really red now.

Letting out a tired sigh, of course Alice hadn’t meant anything by what she said. Even if Ace had his untimely moments, he was still a friend to her and cared about his well-being. “I’ll give you that much...” Fixing her ribbon in her hair as it seemed to be moved during the whole incident, Alice met the eyes of the knight who was still grinning ear to ear. 

“Haa...But honestly, Ace. Don’t you think you can greet people normally?” Though to Ace, jumping and springing into action might be considered normal. She had been with now and then for when he was working so-- “Call it a hunch,” while there was many who liked to be sneaky and quiet to take her by surprise. 

It shouldn’t have come as much shock to see Ace who almost regularly visited Julius. “You’re the only one who comes to visit Julius on a regular basis. Besides, how many turns has it been since you last appeared again?” She added. Ace was due for a visit sooner than later. Tightening her grip on her basket, it seemed the girl had more stomachs to fill.

“Alright then I shall cook tonight just for you,” Yuzuru said with a fond smile but then chuckled a little as she was hugging his arm. Good greif, this girl…  “Mmm for a while now, but it was cute the way that you murmur the lyrics to yourself and making faces while doing so,” The idol stated with a chirp. He then was soon looking at his phone to check the time. Perfect, the grocery store should be still open so he could get the ingredients, “Hey so did you want to come with me to buy ingredients for dinner or did you just wanna stay here and wait for me?” He asked, already grabbing for his wallet and keys.

To be spend time with Yuzuru meant a lot to her since he was in his final year of school, as for Kasumi she was still a freshman and had plenty of years ahead of her. “Thank you~ Yuzuru!” She sang. So when Yuzuru had asked if she wanted to wait or come along, the girl’s mind was already made up. “Hehe! That’s a silly question, Yuzuru! I’m coming with! The stars might be out too! Also! Stretching our legs after being cooped inside might be good for us~ Eheh.” Running to give him a hug, Kasumi’s feet began to dance with excitement. 

Though her ears seemed to be red, back from when Yuzuru had complimented her lyric writings. “Aaah...so you really did hear everything from back then.” She murmured. She felt like someone was listening in, but of course, it was just Yuzuru, thankfully.

Hokuto squeezed her hand gently as he smiled, chuckling a bit. She was honestly really cute, even with being nervously shy like this. By Kami-sama, he was so gone for this girl. “Don’t worry, I’m sure everything will be fine,” Indeed, he was prepared for anything that would happen tonight. Although Kasumi had assured him that he had nothing to worry about…she thinks. But Hokuto was sure that he’ll like her family. But curious as to what they’re like—

Hokuto was quick as he was soon moving out of the way but—-

His eyes widened as a pillow hit his girlfriend’s face, and then was about to ask if she was alright, but soon found that Kasumi was marching inside the house screaming for her sister. He stood there for a moment, confused, but then was approached by an older woman. Kasumi’s mother.

“A-ah, Toyama-san, konbanwa,” He greeted politely as he bowed his head to her. He will admit, he could see the resemblance as clear as day. She was indeed a maturely beautiful woman, and it made Hokuto wonder if Kasumi will look like that in the future. If so, then he’d be so in trouble. He looked back up at the woman and nodded his head, “H-Hai, yes, it’s a pleasure to meet you at last, thank you for having me,” He stated, and soon followed her.

“Heheh...Hokuto~” He was being so cute by the way he introduced himself and doted over their eldest daughter, even her parents seemed to be chuckling over his formal state, well, the mother at least, Kasumi’s father was still crying his eyes out. “Geez, Papa, can’t you relax? It’s not like she’s getting married yet, right?” Acchan asked as Kasumi blushed. 

“Aaah... Acchan, you too?” First it was her friend’s and now her little sister. Though with Kasumi failing to explain further, her parents looked at each other slightly puzzled, and Acchan even more bewildered. 

“Well isn’t that nice,” Her mother interrupted with short notice, “dinner seems to be ready.” She said after hearing the oven go off. “Hokuto, please. Come in won’t you, dear? It’s quite chilling out this evening.” Leading the male inside the house, it was certainly a family complex, enough space for all of the family members to grow and entertain guests should they ever come. 

And it certainly wasn’t anything compared to that of Hokuto’s family home, but to Kasumi and her family, it was perfect. “Tonight we made hamburg steak, Hokuto-san. It’s nothing too fancy.” Her mother said while looking at the two, occasionally glancing at her daughter’s hand intertwined with her boyfriend’s. And it looked like Acchan wanted to intervene but she was too busy playing mediator with her father to get a chance in to speak. 

“I shall finish setting the table with your father, in the meantime, Kasumi.” Suddenly the girl was looking up at her mother with a surprised face. “Why don’t you show him around with your sister? And don’t forget to wash your hands when you come back down, child. Acchan please make sure she doesn’t clumsily tumble down the stairs either.” 

Whimpering when her mother reminded her to wash her hands, the girl’s face flushed terribly. “M-Mama! I’m not five anymore...I-I know that.” Embarrassing her in front of Hokuto like that. Sighing, she looked over at Hokuto who she wasn’t sure if he was doing okay. “A-Are you alright? I know it’s not much, but Aaah...” Her face was still probably red, but she wanted to make sure he was doing okay. “So what do you think so far?” She asked as Acchan was wrapping things up with their father.

Upon hearing the voice, Reiji looked up and immediately schooled his expression into his usual, familiar grin. 

“Mi-chan~! I’m doing fine, so don’t worry~” He had little doubt that she overheard him, so it would take every bit of his acting prowess to deflect from his earlier words.

“Doing fine?” But she really had heard him just now. He wasn’t trying to bottle up his feelings was he? That didn’t sound too healthy in her own opinion. “B-But senpai... Didn’t you just---” Kasumi hadn’t a clue on how to confront him. She knew that she didn’t want to upset him though.

“Kasumi…” Yuzuru hummed with amusement as he watched his girlfriend whine and looking cute when she was tired. He knew that with him already in the last of his college year and graduating next year, he was all for giving Kasumi his time before he gets too busy. He was honestly going to miss having moments like this. Peaceful with a bit of her cute pouting as they did their own things together…hopefully the could have it once more he graduates.

He tilted his head, listening to her writing the new song for her band, softening for a moment as he leaned over and pecked her cheek, before standing up and stretching his arms up. How many hours have they been at this anyways? “Perhaps now a break is needed yes?” He said fondly, as he then was taking the guitar gently from her hands and placing it to the side, “I’ll even cook you your favorite food if you like. The grocery store is nearby and we could use the kitchen here…”

“Buah!?” She had been in the middle of writing a good deed of lines for her upcoming song. But soon undetected, Kasumi felt the pairs of her partner’s lips caress her cheek causing her stop. Meeting his eyes, the brunette blushed some, he was taking care of her like always and being there when she needed him most. “Heheh... un! I love your cooking! And at this point, I think I could eat anything!” Trapping his arm in a hug, the girl hummed. “By the way, just how long did you listen to me compose?” She asked curiously. She had been saying some weird things, one could compare it to sleep talking.

Hokuto smiled softly and nodded, “Yeah, I’ll be sure to get to one of your performances, just let me know,” Actually, he had searched on when Poppin’ Party would be next performing and had actually got advance screening into being one of the front row seatings for it. He…may have gotten connection to her band mates without her noticing. It was a surprise after all.

He too didn’t want this to end, but he knew that they had to get going to prepare for later. Meeting with the family and all was a big deal. Unlike when Kasumi met his own, he didn’t have to worry. All he had to do was just be polite and be true to himself. From what he could tell when looking at Kasumi’s sister, she was nice. So the parents must be nice, right?

“Un! I know if it’s Hokuto he’ll be there! Eheh.” Chuckling as she knew that she could trust her partner, Kasumi blushed. He was always so good to her. Which reminded her, her family... “uuu... I suddenly got butterflies.” The girl blushed. Maybe it was because she was dragging her boyfriend over. But, she couldn’t chicken out now, so walking up to her front gate almost robotically. The girl stretched her arm out to the doorbell to press it, where she heard Acchan yell. 

“SLOW!” and in a blink of an eye, a pillow came hurdling towards her face. 

“ACK!” She quacked. “ACCCCHAANNNN!!!” The older sister screamed before she rushed into the house to track her sister down. She hadn’t meant to leave Hokuto behind either, but it surprisingly hurt. And she couldn’t believe Acchan had done that. 

“Ah! You two! No running in the house!” Their mother sighed before looking at the guest that was left behind. She had much longer hair than either of her children and the similar purple eye trait, a much maturer version of Kasumi and Acchan. “My, my... So you’re the Hokuto Hidaka my Kasumi rambles on about these days. Dear, our eldest child’s boyfriend is here. Please do get off the sofa and join me.” Patting the boy’s shoulders, the mother chuckled. 

“I apologize in advance, dear. We all seem to be a little unorganized tonight.” 

In a few short moments, a more burly man had come out to greet the man. He was taller and had chestnut hair, much different than Kasumi’s but you could see where looks came from. Staring down at the boy, he almost looked too intimidating but shortly afterwards, the male figure began crying. “UUuuaah! My eldest daughter has a man in her life now! T-Treat her well!”  

And with all that crying, the brunette soon came running back outside after finishing chasing Acchan and realizing she had left her partner behind to defend himself. “Oaaah! P-Papa!? Are you crying!?” She knew Hokuto hadn’t done anything wrong, so it must’ve been that awkward personality trait that mom always said he had. “Mama-what’s ACK!” Flicked on the forehead, Kasumi whined. “W-Why?” She cried while returning to Hokuto’s side. 

“Don’t leave your partner behind when introducing us, next time. Kasumi.” She sighed with a gentle tone. “And Hokuto. Welcome to our little family, you are most welcome here.” Staring at him, she then wrapped her arms around her husband who was still bawling his eyes out. 

Whimpering, Kasumi then looked over at Hokuto and blushed. “I--ah..sorry about this.” She muttered.

Eyes sparkled at the sight of her as he was feeling his heart skip a beat, then was smiling brightly as he was jumping away from his band and his fans to rush over the young lady, “HEY! FUTURE WIFE!” He yelled, making his bandmates look at each other and snickering, as Hayato was soon running after her, despite that she was looking scared of him.

“Hyyyy!!! I-I’m not anyone’s wife!” How did they end up meeting here? I guess he did just say there was a concert tonight here. And she was performing tonight too with her friends. But, to think they’d see each other again. 

Sadly, the girl was too overwhelmed to properly think of all of that. “W-Where is the nearest hiding spot!?” Looking to her left and right, there didn’t seem to be any such thing, perhaps she could keep searching. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be an option after she turned around and yelped to see a green-haired fellow. “UWAH! Y-You’re here already!?” He certainly ran fast.

“I wouldn’t want you to become upset, but if it was for your sake…”

Was...Was he listening to her at all? In one rabbit ear and out the other, “don’t be ridiculous, of course, I would care about the state of your well-being. But the same goes for any.” Any of her friends. “You can go one season without hunting Joker down, right?”

“…I wonder if my retirement is approaching.” He was a veteran in the industry, and he knew full well that, at a certain age, an idol and performer lost their appeal in favour of newer up and coming idols.

Perhaps it was time for him to step down.

“AH! Sen--o-Oh?” Kasumi had caught sight of Reiji, her senpai in the entertainment industry and was running over to greet him. But she stopped mid-way when she saw the expression that was washed over his face. And she caught wind of what he just said now too. “K-Kotobuki-san...are you okay?” Just now... what he said.

“Then, I’ll ask him about this ~” She hang out too much with Mitsuki sometimes.. 

“You certainly have plenty of time on your hands, don’t you?” Well, he wasn’t going to stick around for this. “Have fun with whatever it is you’re doing. I’m going to do something productive.”
