I'd prepared myself mentally to be wary of the war doctor cause Ten and Eleven had such strong negative feelings of when they were him. "My name, my real name - that is not the point. The name I chose is the Doctor. The name you choose, is like... it's like a promise you make. He's the one who broke the promise." When this episode aired, I expected him to have gone dark(like the master) like the time war and what he did had broken him but he was still the same beautiful man that he had always been. "Great men are forged in the fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame." Thank you again Sir Hurt for such an amazing portrayal of the war doctor, you were a brilliant man who is now "NO MORE" but will never be forgotten. Goodnight Soldier

I just realized what a shitty whovian I've been. I was rewatching doctor who and it was the episode after 11 regenerated into 12 and Clara wouldn't accept it and he told her "you can't see me can you? You look at me and you can't see me" and I realized that that's what I've been doing with his doctor. I never really accepted Peter capalidi as the 12 doctor so I never gave him a chance to prove himself. No matter how epic his speeches and acting-he was always not good enough in my mind and now that he's leaving I feel like shit because I should've given him a chance. I know his decision didn't have anything to do with me but I feel like we didn't support him at all. After 9,10, and 11 we got used to the doctor having a young face so he was a system shock but he was a good doctor. So when series 10 airs, best believe I'm going to be ready and open minded. I'm going to watch the shit out of those episodes and harass everybody on tumbler because Capaldi deserved better.
