You’ll always be mine - Part One (Pack Mom ft Liam Dunbar)

Request: Y/N and Derek have been with each other for a long time and soon decide to have a baby of their own despite having also adopted Liam not so long ago but Liam doesn’t take the news so well at the beginning.

Y/N and Derek had been married for almost 2 years despite knowing and being together for the last 8 years. She had been with Derek from the beginning in high school. He had confided in her with his biggest secret and although it took her some time to process, she had vowed to herself that she would be there for Derek no matter what.

The Hale pack and MCcall pack had recently joined forces and Y/N was grateful that everyone had put aside their differences and teamed up protecting the town of Beacon Hills together. Y/N was known as the pack mother, she was the eldest and of course, Derek’s mate. Although Derek focused on the supernatural side, Y/N focused more on making sure the kids had everything they needed from home cooked meals, a shoulder to cry on, a ride to school, help with homework and a warm place to stay.

Y/N and Derek had taken in Isaac. After everything the poor beta had been through with his father abusing him, Derek giving him the bite and the kanima killing his father. Y/N couldn’t bring herself to let him join the cruel system so after talking to Derek they had agreed on adopting Isaac. Isaac had made himself at the loft for the next year. That was until he had been on a trip with the couple to Paris, France to see some of Derek’s relatives and allies with another older pack his mother had known. Isaac had befriended their alpha who grew fond of him and offered to help teach him further. Y/N found it hard to say goodbye since Isaac had practically been her baby but she saw how much it meant to him and knew she had to let him go.

She found it hard and weird that Isaac wasn’t around since he’d left the loft with a silence she wished wasn’t there. However that changed not too long ago, when Stiles had called her in a panic at almost midnight asking her to desperately meet them at Scott’s for a “Momma Hale” emergency.

~ flashback ~

Y/N and Derek arrived at the MCcall house. The street was eerily quiet and the front porch of the MCcall house was lit. Y/N text Stiles that they were outside and he let them in.

He led them upstairs after they had promised not to freak out. Derek stayed in the bedroom demanding an explanation to why they were called out so early. Scott led Y/N to his bathroom and sighed before pulling back the curtain to reveal a young boy no older than 14. He had sparkling baby blue eyes, rosy cheeks and dirty blonde hair. He was tied up in duct tape and was terrified. She could hear his heart racing and see his tear stained cheeks.

“Scott, are you serious?! What is wrong with you? He’s a kid!” Y/N scolded him pushing him out the door as she kneeled down, rolled up her sleeves and helped the young boy out of the tub.

“Sssh, it’s ok sweetie. I know you’re scared. It’s ok. I’m so sorry with the way my friend has treated you. Let’s get this tape off you huh?” She cooed gently taking the duct tape off of his mouth.

“Don’t hurt me, please.” The young boy had begged. His voice cracking with fear as more tears rolled down his cheeks.

“Sssh I’m not going to hurt you. I promise. I’m here to help you, sweetheart.” She cooed wiping away his tears.

“I’m Y/N. What’s your name, sweetheart?” She asked gently brushing his hair away from his face.

“L-Liam.” He sniffled.

“It’s ok, Liam. You’re safe now. I promise. I won’t let anything happen to you. Let’s get you out of this tape.” She cooed helping unravel him.

It had taken 30 minutes for Y/N to talk to Liam and explain what was happening. Liam had clung to Y/N the whole time. She was the first person that was kind to him, he felt safe with her. Y/N called Derek into the bathroom and Liam instantly shrunk away seeing the older muscled man in front of him. He turned away and hid his face in Y/N’s shoulder.

“Sssh it’s ok, sweetie. This is Derek. He’s the leader of the pack. If anyone can help, it’s him.” She reassured him.

Liam had been glued to Y/N. She brought him into the bedroom and sat him down on Scott’s bed. When they were all talking about what was to happen next, Y/N had found out thr wendigo had killed Liam’s family and he had nowhere to go.

Derek had already told her that the kid would be staying with them. He was so young, newly bitten and with no family or a pack to protect him, he couldn’t risk it. They talked about what would happen for the night and first thing in the morning. Y/N looked over and saw Liam falling asleep but perking up again with tired eyes. She smiled and picked him up setting him on her lap and hushing him every so often.

From that night, when Y/N and Derek had brought Liam home, they knee instantly that he would have a permanent home with them.

~ present day ~

Liam had grown comfortable with Y/N and Derek after they had legally adopted him only 3 months after taking him in. The young beta had even started to call them “mom” and “dad”. At first it was been a surprise and Liam had flushed a bright red apologising profusely but the couple smiled and reassured him it was ok. It made their heart swell with happiness that Liam looked up to them as parents. From then on they had promised to be the best parents to him, to love him, train him and be there for him regardless. He was their baby beta.
