My sister is taking me to Greece as a late birthday present—turning 30 in November was...well, losing dad 6 days before has definitely changed how I feel about my birthday—so we're planning on spending next week just having a bit of a break.

I'm pretty excited for Sandman season two though! And I always have fun writing when I'm on holiday, thinking about just relaxing and doodling some ideas while my sister sunbathes.

So I started episode one and as expected had many an 'oh no' moments. I'm not even 9 minutes in. I don't know anyone's names. I'm giving them nicknames. I'm making up their jobs (ok so I think I know who the Captain's are).

This distracted me so much that when someone started coughing up blood barely 10 minutes in I was quite taken aback

Just recommended The Terror to a friend after she said she has face blindness. 🤣🤣

@rriavian It's honestly really, really good. I can wax poetic about how it takes the time to show all the different ways these men loved one another as they were trapped, doomed to slowly die in a frozen world they didn't understand. But it is a running joke that it takes a few rewatches to tell a lot of the characters apart, lol.
