Father Tusk, Primary Spark of the Watertusk tribe, forms five sons from algae, as he was taught to by his deity (and creator) the goddess Mirae.
the fifth and youngest son had a different name when Father Tusk first pulled him from the algal mat he was born of, but it hadn't stuck, wet clay on sun-hot rocks, so it hadn't stayed for long.
Ba Ren is strong. Leus: tactical & cunning. Rinka's courage is unyielding. Snel, kind-hearted.
Troublesome asked too many questions.

i'm worldbuilding a species called the Fae in yuwen, and they're created (not born) through teaching a chosen Apprentice (usually an animal, plant, bug, or (one time) a fungi) how to be a Fae.
slowly through the lessons the Apprentice begins to take on the shape, form, and perception of the Fae species, until they Are Fae. At the end of the series of lessons (schooling??) the new Fae retains only small attributes reminiscent of their first life.
Fae society classifies themselves by these attributes, of which i've come up with most of, except one, which i need help with
the attributes are: Horned, Hoofed, Cloven (as in cloven-hoofed), Winged, Armored and Rooted.
the last one i need covers rodents and rabbits/hares??
pls give me ur best suggestions for what i could call this group??
#talking#worldbuilding#fantasy worldbuilding#i was thinking clawed or teethed?? but idk horses also have teeth and hoof so

reading about the goddess Hekate on wikipedia and in the etymology section there's a proposed source of her name in the greek word ἑκών or hekǒn which means "willing" and how that's contested because none of her sources reference will or willpower as an attribute. but her domain is of magic?
magic requires being willing. not willpower but a willingness to try, to want, to see what happens. you will potential for something into existence by wanting, choosing to act as if its already true
cause if you dont believe in magic, it's not there
but if you act as if magic is real, and you believe it is purposefully, it will show itself all around you
#talking#hekate#magic#also interesting that hekon comes from PIE root *wek- which means. “to choose” “to want”
