Field of Light at the Foot of Uluru in Australia
More than 50,000 frosted-glass lights have transformed the Australian outback after being installed in an area the size of four football fields, as part of one artist’s 24-year-long dream to create a physical symbol of the good things in life.
The mesmerising display of lights - which are solar powered and grow brighter as the daylight fades - was created by artist Bruce Munro, and is his largest piece of work to date. Lit-up pathways allow visitors to walk to the installation, which will come to live under the stars each night, for an entire year.
See the previous post about his light installations.

words unspoken
–
The first time he comes back, he asks if he can stay at her apartment for the night. She gives him a smile and said yes and does not ask any questions, asking him to wait for her while she helps Shikamaru file their mission report first. The walk towards her apartment was quiet but comfortable until, surprisingly, he asks if she doesn’t plan to stop by the hospital for the required post-mission assessment. She giggles at this, tells him that she is one of the top leads of the administrative staff and she doesn’t report to anyone but herself and Tsunade so she will be fine. She points at the diamond seal on her forehead and assures him that she will be good as new by tomorrow. He nods in apprehension and remains silent for the rest of the walk and Sakura does not mind and does not bring up his unexplainable action upon her arrival in the Hokage office—of the hug that was too brief for her to process and reciprocate. She watches as he awkwardly settles himself on her couch and she offers him a blanket and some pillows, reminding him that he should not hesitate to ask for anything else and to make himself as comfortable as much as possible. She finds it hard to sleep that night, knowing he is just on the other side of the wall of her room, but the previous mission finally takes its toll on her and she lets her eyes close for a second. She wakes up the next day and almost forgets the events that transpired the night before, is only reminded of it when she sees the pillows on the couch with the blanket neatly folded on top of it. A piece of paper lays on it, and she takes it and reads the short note and smiles.

INTERIM
∎∎∎ Sasuke lives with Sakura in the weeks after the war.
.
.
.
She couldn’t believe it.
“M-me?” Shizune laughed. “Who else?” “You,” Sakura blurted out. “I mean, Shizune-senpai, you were the head of the medical division! Not to mention my senior—” "I think you’ve more than proven yourself, Sakura,” Shizune said. A proud smile adorned her features. “Since Tsunade-sama is swamped with the aftermath of the war, there is no one but you with the skill to run the hospital. On this, Tsunade and myself are agreed.” Sakura lowered her head. “I don’t know what to say.” “There’s nothing to say.” Tonton snorted from her place in Shizune’s arms, prompting laughter from both kunoichi. “Just don’t disappoint us!” Sakura straightened, raising her head in playful defiance. “As if I ever could.” And just like that, the pace of Sakura’s life changed in the aftermath of the war.

Latest Murals by Farid Rueda
End 2015-2016
Mural painting has always been a medium of art expression in Mexico dating back to its pre-Hispanic time. Single figures, animals, and narrative scenes are often found in the Mesoamerican monumental buildings, the themes are strongly based in nature. You can see the traces of pre-classic elements in Rueda’s work. Nature and spirituality have always been present, regardless of the choice of color or style. Dropping out of art school and joining the ‘No Colectivo’ creative group, Rueda has never stopped telling his story with passion and skills (article by Mo)
