If you live in a part of the world that does not have rabies, but like to trabel, it's a really good idea to learn these signs too!
Cartoons messed people up on what rabies looks like. Ppl think of a rabid animal and assume it's always snarling and frothing at the mouth and ready to attack. Rabid animals can appear really friendly because they lose human fear and they might approach you supposedly looking for food. It might look like a deer stumbling in circles and limping and falling over as if it's injured and disoriented. Might looks like a fox repeatedly trying and failing to stumble to its feet and unable to pick its head up. Their brains are melting. They might seem angry but they might also seem confused or injured or in need. But if you try to help that injured crying fox you could end up getting bit by an animal that's basically already dead and then your brain will melt too

Since the OP made their post unrebloggable (and blocked me. Both actions they are well in with their right to do)
I'm going to make my response it's own post because I think the point is important
-
As someone who is autistic and has BPD and CPTSD and loads of trauma yes you sometimes need to change how you interact with others to keep people around
When I was 13 I hit the few friends I had when I was angry
I had to change that in order to keep those friendships
When I was in my early 20s if I was losing an disagreement with my husband I would threaten to kill myself. My husband told me it hurt him and was cruel and manipulative behaviour, because it was.
So I worked hard to change that to keep my relationship
It's easy to say "I shouldn't have to change for others" and that's true to an extent. You shouldn't change your interests or passions or dim your light. And you should have space to be imperfect and flawed and not have to pretend your ugly bits aren't real. But if something you are doing it causing other people harm you kinda need to change that.
That's called "living in a society"
People adapt to each other and make space for each other in their lives. You adapt to them and they adapt to you
You start being more diligent about throwing away the empty toilet roll because it really bothers them. They start warning you before they run the blender because you hate loud noises
I stopped threatening to kill myself because I was mad I was losing an argument and my husband stopped being so vocally judgemental amount media he personally dislikes
There is a certain type of person who heard the phrase "your emotions are valid" and took that to mean "my emotional reactions and my behaviour are always objectively correct because my emotions are valid and if you have an emotional response or react to what I'm doing negatively then you are wrong and you can't be hurt because my emotions are valid"
And that's a recipe for disaster
Your emotions are valid to feel. They are how you feel and there are reasons you feel the way you do
However, your reactions and behaviour are something you can learn to control and can be irrational
We live in a society and we as people change each other as we interact and that isn't necessarily a bad thing

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)

Her techniques literally changed my life. I joke about having a perfect sock drawer thanks to her folding (and I DO and it's GORGEOUS!) but being able to thank items and say goodbye to them when they no longer serve me has been unreal. She taught me to not have guilt about getting rid items that were given to me as gifts- and that gifts serve their purpose when they're given. Her methods are really helpful. I'm neurodivergent and other clutter cutting techniques haven't worked.

BTW for anyone wondering what exactly it is- it's an ancient variety of root beer made from the roots of two common plants which are often regarded as weeds nowadays. Burdock root is used in dishes in Korea, Japan, and China; but not widely known as an edible plant in the west. Dandelions are completely edible, including leaves and flowers as well as the root. Some people roast dandelion roots to make a coffee substitute.
In questions of flavour; Wikipedia says that the flavour is close to sarsparilla, but I've never had that, so I can't comment.
If you'd like to try and make your own, or other burdock dishes, be aware that foraging by digging up the root is against the law in some places (including the UK I believe). It's easy to cultivate but a pain to dig up, so you might want to try growing it in a container for easy root access.

I dream of a world where changing rooms are like the one in Starship Troopers and no one gives a fuck
the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

I spent my entire 90s childhood convinced there was a velociraptor around every corner
I'm glad to know that other people are just as confused as me about why Jurassic Park is trending. However since I watched the first movie last weekend I can say, that after nearly 31 years the T-Rex is still as spine-chillingly scary as it was when I was a child, watching the movie from behind a pillow.
