Wartime apokruphos design

My children of the whales OC Apokruphos has been getting some traction lately, so I figured I’d make a wartime design for her! She doesn’t become paralyzed until the end of the war, so she spent most of her life being able bodied. It was an interesting challenge to make her outfit, since most of the empire characters we see belong to the military, and Apokruphos does not. She worked as a folklorist for the empire, in order to create a sense of national identity and culture. Imagine folklore might’ve been a family business, which put her on the aristocratic radar.

There, under the light of the burning sun, I encountered something miraculous. There are many myths about the creators of the world. Some call them Apolithoma, some call them Ieros, and we from the Allied Empire call them Nous. When the Rain of Kathartirio came down, 52 pieces of heaven fell to earth. Each of these Nous were personified with different names. I had assumed this to be an aetiological myth, to explain the differing worship practices for each Nous. But I was wrong, dear sister. 

Like an alter without an idol, I met a Nous Child without a Parent. They called themselves Draconis. I heard rumors from the citizens of Kivotos- of a lion boy taken away by Kataklysmos, of a tower of time, of a city of salt. Skeptical, I had approached their abode. They attacked me, not keen on intruders. I tried not to take it personally. I still look like an Imperial, after all.

How many atrocities have we never been taught about? Apparently, we massacred their parent’s followers and took its power for ourselves. I went through the remains documents of the Imperial Archives and found mention of “terrorist god-weapons” retrieved from the Pythia province on the mainland. I do not want to believe we would do such a thing, but I cannot deny the proof.
