PSA, there's a really nasty Discord scam going around rn. If one of your friends DMs you, starting off with a simple "hello" "how are you", may even joke around a little, and then starts asking you to look at a game/project they're working on, don't click the link, don't download anything. If you can reach that friend through non-Discord means, reach out and let them know they got hacked.

One of my friends said the link takes them to a very convincing video game page that has in-game screenshots and stuff, and then gives you an option to download a playtest zip file or something. That download exploits a weakness Discord apparently has for password protected zip files and steals your Discord log-in and changes your account info to the scammer's account info. Two of my friends lost their accounts. Be careful.

I love opening up this website first thing like the morning paper and immediately seeing multiple posts like "how to get rid of the evil clown on the dashboard". like oh is this what we're doing today

I'm sorry but no Pixar movie will ever live up to the best one. a hot shot entirely arrogant and egotistical yet ultimately lonely young guy lands up in the middle of a small town before a big race, and having destroyed it's road by accident is now forced to rebuild it? slaps. he meets a beautiful woman who won't take any of his bullshit? wonderful. he realises the old grandpa is a washed up hero that people turned their back on after he came back from an injury, now residing amongst people who love and care for him and he thinks the guy will ruin the town he lives in? dear god I am in love. the young-un meets someone of a sort he once looked down on and they have fun together, and he finally finds a best friend? I will cry. the hotshot falls in love with the town, the town that has long since left the public eye, and the grandpa shows him how self-centred he's been his entire life? please I'm crumbling. the rockstar helps everyone in town, makes them all feel loved and heard and finally feels at home before the paparazzi find him and drag him to his competition, the door closing on his found family just as he's connected with them, all apparently because the grandpa gave them a call? I'm furious! him losing focus at the competition only to hear the grandpa in his headset and go “yeah yeah it's just - wait WHAT” and find that they all came to watch and the grandpa is his coach now all because the best friend didn't get to say goodbye? god I'm squealing with joy! the old dude in his last race ends up in an accident and this boy stops in his tracks, remembers how his coach was disgraced the same way and helps push him to the finish line? I am sobbing. “there's more to racing than just winning” same line as the start, but where earlier it was to impress the camera, this time it's from the bottom of the heart. banging my fists on the table “you got a lot of stuff kid” the grandpa says to the boy, pride, forgiveness and acceptance mingle as I begin to wail. the new racing headquarters will be built in the town, it's back on the map. I am hopping up and down out of sheer jubilation. oh and they're all cars btw. what more do you want?

just finished cars on the road.

first and foremost i must say: i am so glad i watched it while home alone. i screamed, i laughed, i cried, i happy stimmed so hard i was worried i would break something.

it was just so FUN. so lighthearted yet precious. and i am going to be thinking about it for some time now. i needed this show, mentally. it was so refreshing.

so obviously tgm coming out of cinemas has been very sad, the experience of seeing it on the big screen is like no other. i wasn’t expecting to see it again but my family surprised me with tickets to see it a fourth time. i. am. going. to. scream.

turns out my local cinema is still showing it until early september! i am so so so excited to see it again, my fellow top gun fans will know how amazing of an experience it is to see it on the big screen. istg this film heals me mentally.

hows life

it’s good! i’m currently enjoying my summer holidays, so lots of time to watch comfort media and sleep. i also recently went to my local pride event (they have it quite late here) and i got a lesbian bucket hat, lesbian fan and a lesbian flag, so i am still on a high from the fun of that.

i’m also very hyped for TGM coming out on digital and cars on the road!! i am very much the kind of person to rely on movies and shows coming out to keep me going, so i’d say top gun and cars are helping a ton.

i hope everyone who sees this is also having a good time, and if not, may the little things bring you comfort!
