Ancient genomes reveal complex population interactions in the middle Yellow River basin during the Late Neolithic period (confirmed Y-haplogroup and existence of legendary sovereign Emperor Yao)
Research by:
Zishuai Huang, Hui Li (MOE Key Laboratory of Contemporary Anthropology, School of Life Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai 200438, China)
Jiaqi Gao (School of Archaeology and Museology, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China)
Mingzhi Ma (Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, Xi'an 710001, China)
Wengao Hu (Shenmu Baoyuan Museum, Shaanxi 719300, China)
Xin Xiao (The Department of Sociology, University of the Witwatersrand, Wits 2050, South Africa)
Here's the highlights:
Research reports 8 ancient genomes from 3 Late Neolithic sites in the Shanxi-Shaanxi area.
Most of these individuals carried a predominant ancestry related to the Yangshao culture populations from the Central Plains and a secondary Northeast Asian-related ancestry.
The team identified LSM_1 from the Lushanmao site as a genetic outlier for showing excess genetic affinity to the Hongshan culture population.
Findings enhance the understanding of interactions between different Neolithic populations in the middle reaches of the Yellow River.

How my client descended from the Ming Dynasty Imperial House (Y-haplogroup of the Imperial House of Ming Dynasty)
Thanks to Ferras Vansen and Ruy Fernandez for English grammar and format
In August 2024, a young guy from Beijing, China, came to me and asked me to make a chart of his genealogy book and paid me. He and his grandpa organize info about their immediate family from the old genealogy book (not shown here).
This guy is descended from Prince Ding of Tang, the 23rd son of the first emperor of the Ming dynasty, he has proven his genealogy and Y-haplogroup. Based on the examination of several remains of the imperial members of the Ming, the 23mofang has proven the Y-haplogroup of the Ming imperial house is O-MF12145, which included subclades O-MF14381 (from Prince of Zhou's descendants), O-MF15153 (from Prince of Han's descendants韩), O-MF16261 (from Prince of Dai's descendants), O-MF13744, O-MF159879, and O-MF13801 (possibly from Prince of Jingjiang's descendants who was the grandnephew of the first emperor)
The fiefdom of the Princedom of Tang was located in today's Nanyang, Henan. The descendants escaped to Fujian and Guangdong when the dynasty fell. My client's great-grandpa and his four sons moved to Beijing during the period of ROC. Most of the current living descendants are located in Henan, Shanxi, Beijing, and so on, and some descendants from the other branches still keep the surname Zeng 曾

Roughly figured out how to fix the fake bun better

This is with real Ming style hairnet (wangjin) and fake hair bun. I bought the hairnet two years ago when I had long hair and my current hairstyle is medium long side-swept bangs. The belt is not historically accurate and is just for convenience
