Zari ships

Here is what I think about some of the Zari ships with Zari Tomaz and Zari Tarazi. Zari Tomaz and Nate - I think this ship actually works well and makes sense for Zari, specifically for Zari Tomaz. The reasons being we know Zari 1.0 was in a apocalyptic timeline, She did not have the most stable life before she met the legends, and while the legends aren't exactly stable (we have seen the episodes it gets crazy and weird) They are more stable than what Zari originally had. And I know people thought Zari was Asexual in the first few seasons (I did too.), but I think Zari was probably more Demisexual where she didn't start feeling sexual attraction until after forming a strong bond with Nate and I think it took awhile after all Zari has trauma, and her trying to figure out a lot of things about herself off screen probably needed to happen. Now onto why I think this ship is good and I really like it. I think Nate is a safe space for Zari Tomaz. Like in the Time loop episode Nate was there for Zari he believed her immediately, and tried to help her solve it and keep her sanity. Nate is a safe guy and I think that is what Zari was most attracted to in the end. Was that Nate would be something safe, something stable, something that she as a person who has been through so much desperately needed in a partner. Because Nate is a Stable person on a lot of levels, and for someone who didn't have much stability that is something they would prioritize. Zari Tomaz/Tarazi and Charlie - I like this ship in a sense. I am always down for some more representation, but it's not one of my favorites in long term couples. Do I think they have great chemistry? Yes. Do I think they could have been a thing? Yes, in more of a short term relationship. For Zari Tomaz I think her and Charlie would have been great for Zari to learn more about herself and her sexuality, its hard to do that in a post apocalypse. But I don't think it would have worked out long term, because (while I love Charlie) Charlie is chaotic, they are punk they are about fighting the norm for good reasons, and that is great. but for someone who has been fighting her entire life who has been surrounded by chaos, she is not want going to want that for long term. Which is why I think Zari Tomaz and Charlie is a good relationship to help Zari be more comfortable with herself, but not for a long term realtionship. For Zari Tarazi I think her and Charlie would have been a good friends with benefits/ no expectations. Reasons being this Zari is by far more comfortable with herself and her sexuality, but she is a lot more self absorbed and likes to be the center of attention. With Charlie though I think both of them would have trouble with each of them wanting to be the center of attention, and while that is not a bad thing. I don't see it working long term because of that.

Head cannon about Mulan's potential love interest in once upon a time. You know how Henry is the author? what if... and hear me out Mulan's true love ends up being the "reader?"

Think about it it could be us, the audience for we want Mulan to realize her full self, so much. So what can we say about the reader.

We can say that the reader is someone we never see, but they get mentioned every now and then. It might start out as I have a Canadian girlfriend joke, but it slowly evolves where several characters have met them.

Eventually the reader is soon seen as a figure that might lend a helping hand every now and then, so we see a figure.m, but never actually a face.

and what we know about the reader is a few things.

1.) they can travel between worlds, for they are the reader they are supposed to see your story.

2.) they may not be allowed to interfere/ until ours does.

3.) They know things about everyone, that many are not prepared to deal with

it's just a thought, it might not make sense. but I just like the idea of Mulan's true love being an audience member.

Mulan is a smooth liar. (seriously... it drives Emma nuts, Mulan is one of the few people who can consistently deceive Emma's superpower.)

Mulan will use anything as a weapon in a fight if she doesn't have her sword.

She was banned from Granny's for a Month, for turning a simple bar brawl into a food fight. Not her fault the closest thing she could use as a weapon was a burger.

Granny wasn't even the one who banned her it was Ruby.

Mulan has a dragon tattoo, the tattoo is Mushu

Mushu moves around on Mulan's body to protect her (Acting like another layer of armor)

No one knew she had it until someone tried kill her. (When they removed her shirt to get a better look at the wound that is when they saw it. The wound wasn't that deep/dangerous the force just knocked Mulan out.)

Mulan was kicked out of her family. (I like to imagine Mulan realized she didn't want to marry men, and told her parents. There was a fight, she was disowned and that started her adventure in going to the enchanted forest.)

Because Mulan was disowned that is why Mushu is a tattoo, he doesn't have enough power without the ancestors, to be more like he was in the movie.

Mulan and Rumple once met in the enchanted forest, She was the only one to turn down a deal with him. (She doesn't remember this, but he does.)

Mulan nearly threw hands against Zelena and Hook when they met in Storybrooke. (People forgot to update her.)

Regina, Zelena, and Rumpel are 99% positive Mulan has some sort of magic protection that she is not telling anyone about. (Mulan does have a magic protection, but she doesn't know about it. Her Granny casted a protection spell on her, before she left. That's Mushu)

When the people of Storybrooke found out Mulan went full outlaw for 2 years, they where surprised. Aurora and Phillip where especially concerned about what happened, and felt guilty they couldn't support her during that dark time. (Mulan felt very embarrassed when she revealed the truth.)

Mulan had no idea what's going on 90% of the time when she first got to storybrooke, she can just BS her way through anything.

billy is a thief shenanigans Letting a caught burglar go right in front of batman because "they were only stealing and they didnt hurt anybody" Freaking out during a meeting when he finds out what the punishment for shoplifting is in some places

has past champions who were also thieves creating even worse answers to any interrogative questions

Marvel is very, very lenient when it comes to theft for some reason. None of the heroes he’s friends with know why.

Marvel: “So you were stealing a cat statue?”

Catwoman: “Yes.”

Marvel: “Why?”

Catwoman: “Because it’s my motif. I love cats. I’m Catwoman.”

Marvel: *stares for a solid second* “You got me there.” *shrugs and lets her go*

Batman: *confusion*

Catwoman: *also confused but runs*

Batman: “Captain, why did you just let her go?” *starts to run after her*

Marvel: *flies after them* “She was just stealing.”

Batman: “Yes, which is a crime.”

Marvel: “Mr. Batman Sir, it’s a cat statue. Most people won’t miss it.”

Batman: “That doesn’t change the fact it’s a crime.”

In the end, Selina got away. With the cat statue must Bruce add. He chastised the heck out of Marvel for letting her go. He was also super annoyed that Marvel could’ve just flown a little faster and re-caught her.

Anyways, most heroes were just baffled he had the audacity to do this in front of Batman of all people cause it’s literally Batman you just did this to. This somehow led to the heroes discussing thievery in general.

Marvel: “Huh??” *sounds extremely concerned* “What do you mean you could get like twenty years in Turkey?! You’re lying!

GL: “I’m not man! Google it.”

Marvel: *frowns* “You know I don’t like using computers.”

GL: “Tough luck then.”

Marvel: *frowns harder and leaves to go find Batman* “Mr. Batman Sir! I have to ask something!”

So that’s how Bruce got to rant about international shoplifting and larceny laws to Marvel who listened very intently.

Batman: “Why’re you asking this anyways?”

Marvel: “Me and GL were talking about it. I thought it was stupid because back in my day, they’d just cut off your left hand and let you run along.”

Batman: “Where was this?”

Marvel: “What’s now modern day South Africa.”

Batman: “I see…”

Bruce was a little relieved because that probably meant this happened a long while ago. He’s not wrong because Billy pulled that from a Champion that used to be alive around 13000 years ago.

Batman: “You sound rather nonchalant about that punishment. Surely that’s worse than spending time in prison.”

Marvel: “Uh… No it isn’t. Trust me I’d know. I’ve gotten my hand chopped off for that reason.”

Batman: “What?”

Marvel: “Multiple times.”

Batman: “What??”

Marvel: “It’s actually quite painless when you’ve had it happen before.”

Batman: “What???”

Thoughts/ideas about Mulan Part 2

- Mulan is one of the few people that can leave Storybrooke and go into the real world with no ill effect (reason for it her story is legendary)

- She is actually one of the oldest people in the fairytale world. ( I like to think she has been on so many adventures that she either ages slower or time shenanigans.)

- Aurora and Ruby have learned how to make recipes from her homeland for her. (Mainly dumplings Granny will actually keep some frozen in the diner for her.)

- Mulan and Belle have a tea ranking system for the book club.

- If the towns people have a problem and the sheriff is unavailable/ they don't want it to potentially become a "Charming Family Production" they go to Mulan for help.

- Mulan hates Blue/mother superior but actually likes Rumble/Mr. Gold. (No one can explain it, Mulan can't even explain it herself other than her skin itches around blue, and Mr. Gold is Mr Gold. Belle is excited she has a friend that doesn't hate her husband. Rumble is confused but happy.)

- Mulan came in second place at a hot dog eating contest in Storybrooke. (Ruby won but is it cheating if she is a werewolf?)

- Once Mulan wore a dress and put on some makeup for a job, no one recognized her except for Ruby and Granny. (werewolf senses)

- Mulan has helped Mr. Gold's family enough times that he is willing to give her one free favor. (Mulan does not know she has this favor)

- The one time Mulan was injured enough to be hospitalized she woke up to no less than 10 people in her room. (She felt very loved, but man, did that stress her out)

- Mulan actually hates hospitals. (The stress of not being able to get proper medical care/being found out. Plus just trying to get her fellow soldiers there and watching all of the aftermath good and bad just left a mark on her.)

- Mulan loves driving.

- Regina loves Khan Mulan's horse. He is as sassy as ever. If Mulan can't ride him she asks Regina to do it.

Snow + gang after arriving in the enchanted forest after the 2nd curse and meeting Phillip and Aurora catching up.

Snow: Where's Mulan?

Phillip (Hesitating) : She.... she is no longer with us?

Belle: What?

Snow: oh... I'm sorry she was a great warrior. How... How did she...?

Aurora: How did she what?

Snow: How did she die?

Phillip/Aurora: DIE?!?

Belle: You said she is "no longer with you."

Aurora: No. No. She is no longer with us. She is with the Merry Men.

Charming: That is one hell of a way to say that.

Thoughts/ideas about Mulan ouat

- I feel like Mulan is like Batman when she is sleep deprived and will just respond to people with grunts.

- I think her and Grumpy would have the funniest most wholesome relationship ever, but not because they are outwardly nice to each other. No, I think they would just insult each other to their face. (To the point where others think they have actual beef with each other.)

- Mulan has a customer service smile and it usually appears right before she is about to punch someone for being a dick.

- Mulan is probably the second best babysitter next to Ruby.

- She is the worst person to care for when she is sick.

- She is probably the most adventurous eater out of everyone in Storybrooke.

- She would 100% be in a book club with Belle.

- She is probably one of the few people that can adapt to Storybrooke the quickest and it probably freaks people out.

Headcannon

Mulan is travelling the enchanted forest after helping Ruby and Dorothy in Oz and she comes across this wolf pup and adopts it calling it Lieutenant and after another year or so she and Lieutenant come across the horrific sight of a family that's been slaughtered by something. She starts looking to see if there are any survivors and she finds this little boy no older than maybe 2-3 just shaking and she can't leave him there, so she takes him with her planning on leaving him at the next village, but she soon grows attached to him and adopts him.

She ends up staying in a village that can use someone to help protect them and to raise the boy. However, a night hag attacked the village and the night terrors she caused accidentally also triggered the boys curse. (He was a werewolf.)

So now Mulan is having to protect him from the villagers so she does the logical solution and flees with him and Lieutenant and they make their way to Storybrooke. (Where the night hag ended up) and when she arrives it's a full moon and she has a sleeping werewolf in her arms as she makes her way into town.

The town is actually up at like 5 in the morning doing a breakfast celebration at Granny's after defeating the night hag. People are celebrating and cheering when they hear the door ring as some one walks in and they look up in surprise to see Mulan with what looks to be a wolf at her side and a wolf pup in her arms and before anyone can say anything the sun starts to rise and the sleeping wolf pup turns into a sleeping little boy and Mulan turns to Ruby and goes, "Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could help me Ruby? Can we talk?"

Headcannon.

I think it would be an interesting concept if Mulan just could not sleep in a bed. She can sleep on the ground, in a chair, and even on horseback, but Mulan actually sleeping in a soft comfortable bed will very rarely happen, and it's not because she wouldn't try to sleep in a bed. I think Mulan might be so accustomed with moving around and camping. and the fact she already probably has a messed up sleep cycle. That sleeping on a bed is just overwhelming. It is too soft and all the sheets and pillows are over whelming. That if Mulan ever makes it to storybrooke, she will probably end up sleeping on the couch at one of the many friends house that would love to host her (They would give her a guest room) or on the floor of the bedroom she is given at Granny's and it would probably drive a few of them nuts, because there is a perfectly good bed for you to sleep on.

I feel like Mulan would be that one friend who is the most serious and reliable friend ever, but every now and then she just does something weird/chaotic, but it's a serious chaotic?

For example Mulan would hand you something and go "don't lose it, I'll be back." and returns hours later to pick it up, but never explains anything.

You would need this really random item for something and Mulan would pull it out of nowhere and hand it to you without saying anything.

I feel like it's something she would do.

New headcannon/story idea. I struggle with writing stories, but I have so many in my head.

What if the rest of the fairy tail world got cursed by another Witch and a new town popped up by Storybrooke and the heroes see old friends like Elsa and Merida, but with them being cursed they don't remember who they are. So, the charming family and friends are having a team meeting in Granny's diner when all of a sudden the door slams open and Mulan comes storming inside yelling. "WHO THE FUCK IS PAMELA? AND WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP CALLING ME THAT?"

Meanwhile everyone else is shocked, because "Your not cursed?" but upon further conversation with Mulan they realize she is cursed, but something is stopping the curse from taking hold. (kinda of like with David with the first season.)

So, Mulan currently has amnesia (to the point where she doesn't remember her name), but she had a piece of paper telling her to find Granny's Diner, and as they are talking Ruby comes in to give an update on the perimeter. Her and Mulan both stopping upon seeing each other and after a pause Mulan goes "Ruby?" in a whisper.

And that is when Mulan clutches her head, because all of a sudden she is hit with 2 different sets of memories that are extremely fragmented upon seeing her old friend, and after a few minutes of the others rushing to Mulan and trying to help her, she passes out due to the pain of her mind trying to accept two truths.

After Mulan regains consciousness she is extremely confused, because she knows who Ruby is, but there are two versions in her head. and each time she tries to sort out the correct memory she triggers a headache.

But as Mulan sees old friends the process repeats itself to where the heroes are concerned about Mulan but because of what is happening they are getting small clues on how the others got cursed. (Meanwhile Mulan is always on the verge of a migraine and Ruby and Granny havw gotten to the point of stopping the heroes from getting Mulan's help because they are worried for her.)

After a few days Mulan is sitting in the dinner trying to figure out another memory. When all of a sudden the mayor from the other town comes in asking for Pamela, and standing behind the mayor is Mulan's Father and Mulan immediately grabs her head in pain, but this time these memories are different. because one is a memory of her burying her Father and the other is not.

And just for a moment of what seems like clarity Mulan punches the new mayor in the face before she collapses and starts seizing. Ruby and Mulan's father rush to her side. and then the witch says this to them. You either help Mulan accept these new memories or she dies, before disappearing.

And that is the end of the story before multiple endings start happening.

Ruby has a special booth for Mulan in Storybrooke. It would be somewhere in the back so not many people would notice/Mulan would not be forced to socialize. It would also be in a place where Ruby and friends could keep an eye on her and Mulan would feel safe/comfortable enough to doze off in from time to time. Granny would also make sure Mulan is fed and not bothered when she is in as well. The reason they do this is because Mulan always puts others before herself and the others want to pay her back in some way.

Thoughts

Out of all the people in once upon a time to most likely have chronic insomnia it is not the people affected by the sleeping curse. Snow, Aurora, David, and Henry sure they were all put in a sleeping curse but they woke up and were able to move past it with support from their friends and family. No, the people who would have chronic insomnia would probably be the people you would not immediately think they would have it, and here is my list of people who would have chronic insomnia.

5.) Belle - Belle would get too involved in a good book before going to bed and stay up way later than she planned. Sometimes Rumple would have to take the book away so she can go to bed.

4.) Emma- Emma's insomnia would probably not be bad but between having to be on call at night and probably just being a very light sleeper she probably stays awake longer than she should.

3.) Granny - Granny is a wolf so she probably gets some extra energy around the full moon and also I have known Grandparents being up at 3am just because.

2.)Ruby - Ruby probably gets really bad insomnia around the full moon and between running the diner with Granny and doing an atrocious amount of Clopens. Ruby's sleep schedule is probably skewed.

1.) Mulan - Mulan's probably the one with a diagnosis of insomnia, because she was in a war for years sharing bunks with several men, trying not to get caught, plus she probably took extra guard shifts that ran into the night. So, she was/is probably the lightest sleeper known to man. We always see her guarding the others or taking watch in camp scenes and we know she has traveled by herself for years. Which is dangerous so basically Mulan has the most fucked up sleep schedule known, so it no wonder she is Grumpy.

Aurora: "Mulan this is my son Phillip aka PJ."

PJ: "Your short."

Aurora: "Phillip!"

Mulan: "Well you were almost a monkey."

Aurora: "Mulan!"

Mulan: "Monkey."

PJ: "Short!"

Mulan: "Monkey! "

Phillip: "You heard about what happened to us and you couldn't write us a letter? Even my monkey wife communicated with me."

Snow: "What did you do to make Ruby upset?"

Mulan: "Nothing. It was a minor prank."

Dorothy: "Minor?"

Mulan: "Yes, minor."

Emma: "Nope, That plate setting was too aggressive to be minor. What happened?"

Mulan: "Okay, so I was hanging out with Red during the full moon and we were playing fetch."

Ruby: *From the other side of Granny's* "You betrayer! You have no honor!"

Emma/Snow/Dorothy: *Confused* "What?"

Ruby: *Coming back to the group.* "You lied to me! You made it look like you threw the stick but you didn't!"

Emma/Snow/Dorothy: *Start sniggering.*

Mulan: "In my defense I didn't think you would fall for it twice."

Dorothy: "Twice!?!?"

Emma/Snow: 😂

Ruby: "YOU HAD THE STICK AND YOU DIDN'T THROW IT!!!!"

Mulan: "Again, I am sorry." 😅
