Putting aside the whole grandparents killing thing, I think Moash and Elhokar would have agreed on a lot of things. For instance Elhokar has a horse named Vengeance, and Moash is probably the only other person in the world who would unironically think that's a banger name for a horse

A lot of this is baseless speculation but I think if there's an opportunity to turn the singers against the Fused/Odium then the complete failure of the Siege of Azimir could be a key point of discontent.

The singers were "winning" that battle up until the very end but at the cost of losing about four soldiers for every one of Azir's (I believe this ratio comes straight from Adolin's inner thoughts). It was a brutal, bloody siege that took a huge amount of lives to be thrown away for every inch of ground gained.

Imagine: You're an awakened singer on that final night, fighting for something righteous. You survived the arrows, the shardbearers, the fire, fucking Taln turning into the doomslayer because the Fused were about to commit a war crime. The final push is here, and now half your remaining buddies die to throwing themselves at Azish spearmen along the shield wall. But then the line finally crumbles. And you live. You help take the city. The sun is rising on the tenth day.

And then fucking Abidi the Monarch fumbles at the last second because he decided to be a cocky prick and show off. He shouldn't have even been at the battle because of his cracked gemheart but he insisted on being a liability so he could get petty revenge on some fuckass human. That same human, with one leg, beats his ass with a candelabra and then holds the claim to the city on some technicality. Abidi is thousands of years old and expects you to treat him like a god btw.

I would become the joker.

Kaladin in his rarest form: smiling! Nothing too fancy, just wanted to draw him in a less serious light for once. A few weeks ago @lamaery suggested a lighthearted interaction between Kal and Syl for my next Kal painting so if you like what you see, you have her to thank for this one! I originally meant this to be just a sketch but as usual I got a bit carried away and rendered some parts of it more than I initially intended to.

Bridger of Minds

Painting Rlain in gouache! I‘m teaching myself gouache (again). Imagine not being able to draw traditionally for years, and when your eyes and brain have finally adjusted to the reduced eyesight, what do you do? Come back to watercolour, your long-lost lover? Naaah, you go for that stubborn b**** who has refused you several times before and go courting her. 😅

This one worked great because I went with a watercolour underpainting, which allowed me to use the gouache in a sort of hybrid way.

We celebrated 20 years of Cosmere in Shanghai with an epic meet-up on May 1st!​​ We turned a cozy café into a fandom hub—complete with life-size character stands, a ​​custom cake​​, exclusive merch and artbooks, and even a prize draw. The event also marked the ​​debut of Simplified Chinese edition Arcanum Unbounded, and we had over ​​20 board games​​ set up for people nerding out. Dozens of fans showed up, making the whole day a great success. I had the honor of creating the ​​main visual for the event and I'm glad to see everyone bonding over Cosmere. Huge thanks to all who came! ❤️

I designed a moash glyph to paint on the back of my leather jacket for dragonsteel nexus and just realized I totally forgot to share

Under the cut is my design process/how the glyph is constructed, a transparent png if you want to use it for anything, and a picture of it painted on my jacket!

First thing I did was quickly thumbnail out a few designs just to play around with the different kind of shapes I could make using the glyph letters. Official glyphs don't hold back on stretching out the shapes so there is a lot of variety you can get. I had a specific area I wanted to fill with the glyph on my jacket, so I knew I wanted it to be a tall design, but I didn't worry too much about that at this stage

I ended up liking the second one I made the most. From there I stretched out the overall shape to conform to the jacket section I wanted to fill, and just refined how everything fit together until I was happy enough. Below is how the letters all hook together!

Then I cut out a stencil and painted it onto the jacket with leather paint (the sticky paper I used for the stencil tore my jacket up a bit which is unfortunate but oh well. it'll add to the grunge vibe once I get my other mods done on it). I wore it on the first day of dragonsteel nexus before doing my vin cosplay the other days

betraying someone who trusts them deeply is one of the sexiest things a character can do its unparalleled. cause either the relationship is irrevocably changed and said character is completely at fault (guilt complex, hot) or it isnt and then both sides have to deal with the fact that they care about each other enough to overlook the betrayal (unceasing devotion, also hot)

I remember a year or two back someone (I can't remember who don't @ me) mentioned that Movie!Kaladin should have short hair bc it's unrealistic to be flying around and fighting with all that hair in your face and I Saw Red

Like oh you think Syl and those lil' windspren ain't sculpting the air around him to keep the view clear?? Just say you think women are incompetent. 🙄😒
