jewishvoiceforpeace: This is what genocide looks like. These are the 2913 Palestinian children killed by the Israeli military this month, as of Thursday, October 26. As the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza intensify, we recognize with horror and grief that this death toll is already inaccurate.
We demand a ceasefire now to save lives. To stop a genocide. The Israeli military has already erased 47 entire Palestinian families from Gaza's population registry; all members of the family, from all generations, are dead. This is loss beyond measure.
The U.S. is also responsible for this horror. 80% of the bombs that the Israeli military drops on Gaza, that are used to kill these children, are American-made. We are called to do everything we can to stop this genocide.
As we continue to demand a ceasefire and fight for a future where everyone is free and equal and safe, we refuse to forget these lives. We will always affirm that every life is precious.
Every single one of these deaths was preventable. When we say Never Again-for anyone, this is who we mean. Never Again is right now.

My precious baby Boo, lived a long 16 years but still gone way too soon. I would have never expected this to come so soon, everything happened so quickly. I am relieved you are no longer in pain, able to breathe and I hope you don’t feel scared. I hope you are free to explore and do everything you were ever too afraid to do while here on earth. May you be reunited with brother Suki and look over brother Niko while he is still here with us. I hope you know I will always love you, now and forever. May you rest in peace BooBear. Bugaboo. Boozle. Until we meet again ❤️🐾

My uncle has returned to his home and his family 🙏
Still trying to process what my family is going through. Last Sunday my parents and I drove 2 hours away to visit my uncle, my moms brother, in the hospital because his lungs were failing. He was on oxygen but doing better than I thought. He had been in the hospital for 2-3 weeks already because he could no longer be supported by his oxygen at home. He had also been awaiting a lung transplant. Well Tuesday night we got the call that they had found lungs for him. Wednesday evening my mom and I drove 2 hours back to the hospital to be there for my uncle and support my aunt. He went into surgery around 2:30 in the afternoon and had been under for about 4 hours by the time we arrived. His surgery lasted about 9 hours, finishing around 11:30. His double lung transplant was a success. Doctors said he was in the best health possible for the procedure, and it couldn’t have come at a better time because his lungs were failing that very day. My mom and I slept a few hours in the car but got up around 5:30. We went to see my uncle in the ICU and he tried to communicate by writing on a notebook though still under sedation, he was only concerned his wife hadn’t been able to leave, and told her she should go home. My mom and I left first and my aunt left after updating us that my uncle stood up by himself. She returned to stay at the hospital the next day and then received news a residence was provided for her and family. His breathing tube was removed within a couple days and he was placed on oxygen again, now he’s just trying to learn how to use his new lungs. Still waiting to hear if he’s been moved to a regular hospital room, as he will be there for another month or so. We hope to go up to visit again soon, but first we must get through our work obligations before we can makes plans again. Of course if anything changes we will be on our way there in a snap.

Good news, my uncle will likely be released from hospital on Monday. He still has to stay in San Francisco for maybe a month, but at least him and his wife have a place to stay now. Also it’s been barely over a week since his surgery, so he is making wonderful progress to be released so early!

Life Update 🥰
It’s been such a long time since I’ve been on this site, so many things have happened over the years.
I recently finished my 4th year as a preschool teacher, taking a break this summer as I would usually work the summer camp for the children.
I also applied to university, starting in the fall and going after my bachelors degree after a long time off. I also have taken so many classes at my community college that after one more class I could receive my associates degree in early childhood education. ( I already have 1 AA in psychology.) With another class, I could receive my highest teaching permit as well.
I also did something totally crazy and tried out for college cheerleading, and got accepted. Something I never would have thought to happen but so excited for the journey ahead.
