I wanted to challenge myself with making a more saturated character

[grins] OKAYYYY!!! OKAY! okay. okay. so

in my Lore i have written for them, they met 17 years after ford initially falls though the portal (so ford is 49 and aysel is 50) and at first they're super weary and distrusting of each other! (i do Not blame them, they're both interdimensional outlaws who are very wanted by bounty hunters and whatnot. i'd be paranoid too)

BUT they learn to be Nice to each other and they get really close. and it's a really sweet arc of growth and trust. they realise that maybe they can't get through this whole multiverse thing on their own, and it's nice to have a familiar face with them, you know?

but if i had to describe their relationship, it's not quite platonic, it's not completely romantic, but it's this third secret thing of "yeah i know we barely know each other and i have no reason to trust you, but you're a human and so am i, and i feel this weird kinship with you because maybe i'm not so alone anymore, and that gives me comfort. so maybe it wouldn't be so bad if we stuck around together for a while." and also "i don't think we're just friends, because i Definitely Feel something more than that, i just think our circumstances don't allow us to love each other in the way we want to, and i'm sorry."
