Where The Silence Hides (Pt. 1)
Authors Note: The people spoke, I listened. I tried to keep the same moment, but with Wally west bc that’s really my man fr.
Word Count: 851
Tw: Teen pregnancy, Swearing, mentions of sex, neglectful family
Sypnosis: You got pregnant after a team up mission with Wally west. What will reader do when she finds out?
The grandfather clock in the manor was deafening, you could hear it even from outside your window.
You'd just slipped back in from another one of Amanda Waller’s spontaneous missions. It went smoothly, as usual. But the suit clinging to your skin no longer felt like armor. It felt like a prison.
A sudden knock at your door broke the silence.
“Miss? You’ve been inside all day?”
Alfred. Shit.
You glanced at the time 11:42 PM. Late, but not too late for your so-called “family” to still be occupied elsewhere.
“Sorry, Alfred! One second!”
You quickly shoved the suit under your bed and rushed to open the door. Alfred stood there with his usual calm expression, holding a tray with tea and scones.
“Alfred, you shouldn’t have. It’s a bit late for tea,” you said, smiling warmly. Alfred was the only person in this house who ever felt at home.
“You’ve been in your room all day,” he said gently. “Is everything alright, Miss?”
You knew he meant it. Ever since you were dropped off here, twelve years old and already forgotten. Alfred had been more of a father to you than Bruce ever tried to be. A best friend in a house full of ghosts.
“Everything’s just fine,” you said.
A lie.
One he could see straight through.
You’d been waking up nauseous. Exhausted, no matter how much you slept. Running to the bathroom more than usual. It had all started about a week ago, right after you woke up for school and barely made it to the toilet before throwing up.
You can remember that moment all too well. The taste of bile, the dizziness, the pounding in your head. At first, you thought it was a fever. Or something you got from too many sleepless nights and dangerous assignments from Amanda.
But consciously, you knew what was happening.
You walk across the room, pull open your nightstand drawer. Shove aside old mission files, a burner phone, and a broken communicator until you find it: the pregnancy test. Hidden in a black envelope, unopened.
You haven’t had the guts to take it. Not yet.
Because taking it means admitting something happened, admitting that you slipped up. That you’re not as careful or as cold as A.R.G.U.S. thinks you are.
But your hands are already moving.
You’re already heading to the bathroom.
As you walk down the halls, you hear him—Kid Flash. His voice cuts through the noise, and it sends a chill down your spine. He’s laughing at something, probably said by Dick. You didn’t realize they came home early.
You remember. Just a few weeks ago, his hands were sliding down your chest, gripping your hips like he couldn’t get enough. Your lips had been locked, breath tangled, and the only sound you could manage was a moan swallowed by his mouth.
You had slammed the door shut behind you that night. Gulped down a glass of water, desperate to ground yourself before even daring to take a breath. You knew you messed up. So did he. You both knew it was wrong.
But it didn’t stop you.
That night, the two of you kissed and fucked away months of pent-up tension and months of side glances, silent promises, and words never spoken.
And now… It’s only right that you take the test. You have to know. You need to know. Before anything else happens, before you move on.
You've waited the longest three minutes of your life, and honestly, you don’t know if you want to know. But you look anyway.
Two pink lines.
Oh god, your family’s going to kill you. What will A.R.G.U.S. do? What will you do? What’s your life going to look like now? All these questions dig into your mind and haunt you. Should you tell him? When will you see him?
You take the test and quickly start walking towards your room. “Where are you going so fast?” A voice raises your heart rate, surely it’s about to jump out of your chest. You quickly shove the test into your pocket.
“What was that?” The redhead quickly notices, “It’s nothing. Why are you here?” You deflect. “What’s been wrong with you recently? Hiding something?” Wally taunted. “No!” You stated way too quickly.
It’s been obvious since it happened. You’re pregnant, and he should know.
Instead, you roll your eyes and walk straight into your bedroom, muttering something about needing sleep. You can feel his eyes on your back, full of suspicion and concern.
Once you close the door, alone in your room, you lock the door and lean against it, breathing heavily. The pregnancy test in your pocket feels like it’s burning through your skin. You look at it again, hoping and secretly praying that the lines will turn into one.
Two lines.
You move to your bed, blinking through tears that spill out. What if he doesn’t want this? Am I even ready? Your mind kills you.
And then your communicator buzzes. A message from A.R.G.U.S.
"Briefing. Now. - Waller"
Perfect timing. Your so screwed.

Currently thinking about Batfamily x Teen Mom!Neglected! Reader
Let me cook rn -
Mother dropped you off at 12 years old sometime right after Jason ‘died’ (Rip). So Bruce was too busy sulking and hanging out with Tim rather than you. At least Dick was sweet, but he wasn’t around the house much at this time. Therefore you got okay with being alone and nobody bothering you. You tried to build a life for yourself, working at A.R.G.U.S. Part time as a spy.
Eventually you meet someone on a mission, (Idk who yet). You two dance around each other for a while, one bad thing leads to another—oops! You’re pregnant!
You end up trying to cover for yourself, but when you live with the world’s greatest detectives, it’s hard. Bruce is slowly catching on, Tim and Damian just think something’s wrong medically, Dick and Jason? Oh they KNOW something’s up. Only a matter of time before Alfred spills the tea on your baby daddy…
I’ll finish it if it blows up but…This is just a thought…
P.s please comment on who the father is, OCs are welcome😝
